This was a nice surprise. A strong directorial debut from Moore. Really meticulously directed... especially for being in just one location. Great twists and turns.
Rylance washed away the stench of that terrible performance in Don't Look Up. He was fantastic here. But the real standout was Johnny Flynn.
A shame this will get basically unnoticed by theatergoers. It doesn't seem Focus has put much into marketing. If it's playing in a theatre near you, check it out. Or... PVOD, which should be in about 3 weeks.

This was really good, even if it was pretty obvious what direction it was going early on. The fun is in seeing it all play out, although the poster referencing a "suspect" seems dubious. There are some mysteries that are revealed over the course of the movie, but it's not really a whodunit so to speak.
I was glad to see this in the theater because seeing movies in the theater is always better and anyone who disagrees is a bad person, but I'm actually kind of surprised that it got a theatrical run at all. Pleasantly surprised, but surprised nonetheless. It's a period chamber drama with no stars and it's probably going to make about $12 before being buried on peacock until the end of time.

This was a very fun movie. Lots of suspense with some cool twists and turns. The whole cast was fantastic. I was glued to the screen the entire film. Definitely recommended.

Very cool movie. Different take on the gangster genre. Rylance was just perfect, as was the rest. very nice surprise. great twists and turns that you'll hardly see coming. the dialogue was also Mamet-like, which i loved. very well done and definitely re-watchable.

Solid little thriller that I assumed was based on a play because of the single location, but it was co-written by the director.

This was decent and better than what I expected given how it got no publicity or any marketing.

This is available on Prime so I decided to watch it last night when I couldn’t find anything else to watch. The trailer and premise didn’t really interest me very much and I’m not a huge Rylance fan so I watched it rather reluctantly.
This was fantastic! It’s a very “small” movie and feels like a stage play with its single location setting and limited characters but the the few characters they had were all great and the story kept me guessing throughout. There were a couple decent twists that kept me interested as the movie progressed and the running time was just short enough to not overstay its welcome. Rylance was also great as the quiet, but always listening, main character. It’s an award worthy performance.
If you’re in the mood for a solid, suspenseful, dialogue driven movie I’d recommend this.

great, subtle movie that you can hardly suspect what's coming. great intrigue and the actors played it perfectly.
