Really enjoyed the movie more than I thought I would. More interested in a D+ series than a second movie.

Almost 3 years have passed since Shang-Chi came out. Someone on Threads was annoyed that there seems to be no movement on the sequel. Simu Liu responded to her post.

It’s the title Marvel trademarked back in 2022 along with Secret Wars, The Kang Dynasty, Thunderbolts, The Multiverse Saga, and others before announcing at SDCC. It may change, but it seems that’s what it was at one point.
The word going around is it will shoot next year and will take one of the 2026 release dates.

You know, it's possible to be frustrated that a movie isn't getting made as quickly as you might like without accusing Marvel of abandoning the "Shang-Chi fanbase" and not putting forth the required effort. Yeesh. People are the worst. I don't know what annoys me more, that post itself or the fact that Liu validated it by responding.
