I'm excited for this movie and I understand the direction they decided to go with the trailer, but it comes off as disconnected to me. We've all had 2 years to process Chadwick Boseman's death, but the films are only doing so now.
So I would wager most people are well into the "acceptance" phase of grief and the trailer is conveying the first few stages.

I mean there's no way that BP at the end is Shuri, right? Even without the actress's antics, I'd think she's way too small in stature.

Did any of you see Letitia Wright at Comic Con? She looks very thin and small in stature.

I thought M'Baku is probably out because his tribe is of the gorilla, not Bast?
I'm just saying, there are already red flags because of the actress (which I guess would have come out after the initial plotting of the movie), but Wright is so skinny that I'll have a hard time believing her as Black Panther unless she becomes Iron Panther or something.

The “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” teaser trailer nabbed 172 million views in its first 24 hours, becoming one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s top trailer debuts for a superhero movie, a source close to Marvel confirmed the viewership number to Variety. The “Wakanda Forever” teaser’s viewership nearly doubled the 88 million views the original “Black Panther” teaser garnered in 2017.

Hollywood Records and Marvel Music have released the first three tracks in anticipation of Marvel’s upcoming “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.”
The three-track prologue soundtrack features Nigerian artist Tems. The singer, who is currently riding the wave of Afrobeats musicians, was heard this weekend when the trailer was released at Comic-Con. Tems sings a cover of Bob Marley’s “No Woman, No Cry” with a Kendrick Lamar sample of “Alright.”
The trailer is strung together with a lyrical motif of “We gonna be alright” from Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright,” moving between images of Wakanda’s aquatic environments, futuristic technology and a somber funeral for the late Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa.
“A Body, A Coffin” by Amaarae and “Soy” by Santa Fe Klan also feature on the album.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is co-written and directed by Ryan Coogler and stars Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira, Florence Kasumba, Tenoch Huerta, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Martin Freeman and Winston Duke.
During the trailer reveal, Coogler, who helmed the first “Black Panther,” reflected on Boseman’s death. The “Black Panther” star died in August 2020 after a private, four-year battle with colon cancer.
“It’s going to be hard to follow that up, but we’ll try,” Coogler said. “It’s been five years since I was here. I sat about there and we premiered the first footage from ‘Black Panther 1,’ and sitting next to me was our T’Challa, the late great Chadwick Boseman.”
The movie will be released in theaters nationwide on Nov. 11. Ludwig Goransson is on board as the film’s composer.
See the prologue tracklist below.
1. No Woman, No Cry – Tems
2. A Body, A Coffin – Amaarae
3. Soy – Santa Fe Klan

That's 41 minutes too long. Come on, Marvel, that's just too long.

Too long for just a movie, but not too long for an epic cultural event (unless it sucks).
US box office for Top Gun 2 = 700 million, Spider Man 3 = 800 million. This will match that range (unless it sucks).

So I guess that the identity of the new Black Panther has been spoiled by Lego.
Anyone who is spoiler sensitive might want to avoid looking directly at the Lego sets in the toy aisle until they've seen the movie.

Weird how they're scheduling this at my AMC Dolby Theater. It's showing at 1:30, 5:30 & 9:30. Four hours apart seems excessive and means there's no true "evening" showing.

I really wanted to like the first one, but I just didn't think it was that interesting. I wanted a superhero movie and got a "succession struggles in Wakanda" story instead. Ironheart and Namor make me more interested for this one, but I really hope that is not Shuri in the suit. Black Panther is supposed to be the strongest, best fighter in Wakanda, and that is not Shuri, IMO. Okoye would be a much better choice.

I liked Boseman in the role and the character as a key player when he was introduced in Civil War, but to be honest I wasn’t that much of a fan of the first film either.
I know it was culturally important and that’s totally fine but it just didn’t do much for me. Then again I’ve only seen it once in full (when I saw it theatrically).

The Cinemark 20 near me has it on 7 screens. There's a show starting every 20-30 minutes from 3pm to 11:40pm on Nov 10.

I booked a Friday showing in Dolby at AMC for 6pm and it was already about 80% full. I got front row next to handicap seats.
For now I can’t do Thursday night shows as I have to be at work at 6am the next day. I’ll have to resist spoilers for one day.

Wow, another Marvel movie really pushing the running time (this one's clocking in at 2 hrs., 41 minutes). My local AMC has 10 screens and they've booked this on four of them. Both the run time and the fact that the trailer doesn't make this look very good might mean waiting for Disney + for me. The only reason I might go - seriously - is to see the Indiana Jones trailer on the big screen.

Civil War BP > Black Panther BP
Looking forward to seeing Shuri in action.

I always see MCU films on the Dolby screen with the recliners, the tiered seating and the amazing sound system.

Re: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022, D: Coogler)
I agree.
There are three characters who all seem like the heir apparent to becoming the Black Panther now:
1. Nakia - Lupita Nyong'o has the most "star power" of the three actors, but Nakia is definitely a side character in the original BP. She wasn't even in Avengers: Infinity War or Avengers: Endgame like the other two. Shouldn't be Black Panther.
2. Shuri - I get why she could be Black Panther because of family, but I always think of her more for her brains than her fighting ability. Personally, I would have her be Iron Heart, she seems like a smart enough character to build that armor.
3. Okoye - To me, she's the obvious choice. She was in both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, by that time I'd say as a full-on Avenger. We know she can fight, she believes in Wakanda, T'Challa trusted her with his life.
I think Okoye should be Black Panther, too.
