I'm kind of meh on this one as well. Nothing in the marketing for this has me super excited about it the way i have been for some of the MCU movies in the past. I'm sure I will see it at some point, but I am not rushing to the theater to see it.

Finished my rewatch to prepare for this (Civil War, BP, IW, EG). Really reminded me how great those four movies in the MCU really are. CW in particular gets better with time for me. I'm hoping I'm wrong, but I think I'll be a bit disappointed with this sequel compared to the first BP. One thing I really loved about the first one is how we really got to see Wakanda on it's own. They did such a great job making it feel like a real place that it really stood out in the MCU because it didn't really have to tie in with whatever else was going on in the MCU at the time. They let it be it's own thing. This sequel already feels like it's checking boxes to fill out the story for future MCU projects. It has to set up Namor and all the underwater people, has to set up the new Black Panther and has to set up Iron Heart. That's already kind of a lot of plot to have to deal with. Plus Chadwick Boseman was just so incredible and Michael B Jordan as his foil was just so perfect. I found it hard imagining Shuri taking the mantle of Black Panther. I don't know though. Maybe Marvel will pull a fast one on us and she really isn't the new BP.

Which one is EG? I am drawing a serious blank. The only Marvel movie I can think of with an E in the title is Eternals but that doesn't account for the G.

And how are you supposed to abbreviate Endgame? E? I was talking about Black Panther movies and it came right after IW so I didn't think it would be that cryptic.

It's entirely up to you, but personally I just wouldn't abbreviate it. It's only 5 more letters to type out Endgame.

Dammit my time is valuable do you know how much time it takes to type out 5 more letters? Do you? No I didn't think so. So of course I am going to abbreviate whenever I get a chance to be more efficient with my time. By the way who the hell decided to have the name to shorten something be called abbreviate. We should just type it as abv.

Hmm. I may have to watch this after all. Hopefully it's a sign of Marvel returning to quality form.

Rotten Tomatoes can be really deceptive. On Metacritic Wakanda Forever has a 71. Black Widow scored a 67. That's better but not significantly so.
