On a rampage for blow and blood. Meet #CocaineBear. Only in Theaters February 24th.
https://www.cocainebear.movie/

Inspired by the 1985 true story of a drug runner's plane crash, missing cocaine, and the black bear that ate it, this wild dark comedy finds an oddball group of cops, criminals, tourists and teens converging in a Georgia forest where a 500- pound apex predator has ingested a staggering amount of cocaine and gone on a coke-fueled rampage for more blow … and blood.

Cocaine Bear stars Keri Russell (The Americans), O’Shea Jackson, Jr. (Straight Outta Compton), Christian Convery-Jennings (Sweet Tooth), Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family), Brooklynn Prince (The Florida Project), Isiah Whitlock Jr. (BlacKkKlansman), Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones), Hannah Hoekstra (2019’s Charlie’s Angels) and Aaron Holliday (Sharp Objects), with with Emmy winner Margo Martindale (The Americans) and Emmy winner Ray Liotta (The Many Saints of Newark).

Directed by Elizabeth Banks (Charlie’s Angels, Pitch Perfect 2) from a screenplay by Jimmy Warden (The Babysitter: Killer Queen), Cocaine Bear is produced by Oscar® winners Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, The Mitchells vs. The Machines) for Lord Miller, Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect franchise) and Max Handelman (Pitch Perfect franchise) for Brownstone Productions, Brian Duffield (Spontaneous) for Jurassic Party Productions and Aditya Sood (The Martian) for Lord Miller. The film is executive produced by Robin Mulcahy Fisichella, Alison Small and Nikki Baida.

Well, that was certainly the most bonkers trailer I’ve seen for a movie in quiet some time.

I didn't realize how much I wanted to watch a coked-up bear going a bloody killing spree until now.

Looks insane.

I'm gonna do a few rails before watching it to make the viewing experience even more insane.

I can't believe that despite watching that magnificent trailer a few times I somehow missed, until I saw a tweet from Alan Sepinwall, that Matthew Rhys also appeared in that trailer (wearing a mustache). It's a full on The Americans reunion - - but with a cocaine bear!

Ok, THIS bear goes on a killing spree and we all celebrate it... Winnie the Pooh does it and we scoff and say "that's ridiculous"

This looks great... I'm sure there are Hollywood liberties being taken but I'd love to know how much of this spree is true because I don't remember this story at all as a kid.

For those wondering, yes, Universal ACTUALLY responded with that

Certainly seems like Universal has cornered the market on horror comedies that are actually pretty decent, with the HAPPY DEATH DAY films, KRAMPUS, FREAKY, now this, and presumably others I'm forgetting.

The real story, especially how the poor bear got stuffed and then passed around from owner to owner, would make a far better movie--and much funnier--than anything in the trailer.

Kevin Smith should be ticked...this is basically the idea he had for Moose Jaws. He makes that film now, it's just going to be called a "Cocaine Bear" ripoff.

Guy I work with told me about this yesterday while laughing like a lunatic with tears in his eyes. He also sent me the trailer. He goes into fits of laughter even mentioning this insane film. I hope it lives up to his expectations.

My first thought after watching the trailer was, “How am I going to convince my wife to watch THAT!?”

Why marry someone who doesn't want to watch THAT!?

But seriously...yeah...I plan to show my wife the trailer, but I imagine being in the same predicament.

If this doesn't eventually lead to Cocaine Bear vs. Snakes on a Plane, I'll be devastated.

Cocaine Bear vs. Snakes on Ecstasy

You don’t know fear until you see a group of snakes with glow sticks heading your way!
