Don’t be silly. As long as some of the Rogue Squadron members are somehow blood related to OT characters, I’ll be happy!

Probably a mix of both - they probably took an image of one of the filming models and pasted it onto the tarmac footage.

Some of what I've seen on the making of "The Mandalorian", they might have just built the damn thing

There's one (or maybe two) full size X-wings. They're in Galaxy's Edge in Disney. Mandalorian used one of them before it was installed in the parks. So no, this isn't one of them. Likely just a CG backdrop.

^ That definitely wasn't the X-Wing in Patty's video. Hers looked to be an OT X-Wing.

Well at least she’s not writing it. Not sure if I trust her to write films after Wonder Woman 1984.

re: Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (D: Jenkins)

I refuse to believe the Patty Jenkins who directed Monster and the first 2/3rds of Wonder Woman was the same Patty Jenkins responsible for WW1984.

And compared to WW1984, the last third of WW is practically Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

re: Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (D: Jenkins)

She directed those films, but only wrote Monster. I think as a director she’s fine enough, but I think as a writer she may need some help. Honestly too she’s really only done a small number of feature length films (IMDB shows four feature length films and a bunch of tv episodes plus some short films).

I know everyone was gung-ho on her being so great after Wonder Woman, but she hasn’t really proven herself as a great director in my opinion.

Certainly feels like it, don't it? The first 2/3rds of that movie were fantastic. The last? It was alright...

Isn't it known that WB made Jenkins change the end of WW? Pretty sure I read that somewhere...

Yeah here: https://www.ign.com/articles/wonder-woman-director-patty-jenkins-reveals-that-warner-bros-made-her-change-the-movies-ending

Production is delayed. Story says Jenkins has scheduling conflicts.

Come on, these people have their schedules set out for years in advance, how does this happen?

Sometimes I think it's a standard excuse for any delay.

Yeah, maybe the poor performance of WW84 made Disney a little scared.

re: Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (D: Jenkins)

Considering Jenkins signed on to this a year ago, I’m puzzled what could have come up to cause a conflict. You would think this would have been priority number one.

Hopefully “scheduling conflict” means sending Jenkins back to film school after WW84.

If she’s writing Rogue Squadron too, I’m officially worried.

I don’t buy that. Wonder Woman 1984 was dumped on HBO Max last December when the majority of U.S. theaters were still closed. That killed the movie’s chances of being a success financially.

While I didn't hate it, I can understand some hesitancy when you're dealing with Star Wars rabid fanboys.

Yup. Prayers up.

WW was not great but still fun, and WW84 is simply awful. Hope this delay leads to a parting of ways.

re: Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (D: Jenkins)

I'm guessing the delay has more to do with the (possible) exit of Kathleen Kennedy (her contract was supposed to expire in October - I've heard nothing of an extension) and maybe even a total re-organization at Lucasfilm/Disney as to how they want to do Star Wars from this point forward.

This would be fine, too.
