I have no desire to see Last House On The Left. Everything I've read about the movie makes me feel dirty and sad.

The '78 Invasion of the Body Snatchers, even though I've seen the '56 and '93.

And pretty much most of the "franchise" sequels

Re: Horror movies that you still have not seen yet

Lot of newer stuff like Suspiria (remake), Hereditary, Midsommar. Really, any number of non-big studio horror movies that aren't major studio releases like It or Doctor Sleep.

Now that I'm not blind-buying every movie that slightly interests me, I've fallen behind. It's also harder to do now that video rentals have evaporated.

'78 Body Snatchers is easily my favorite version. Really good movie. Check it out.

Definitely. The '78 version has a singularly prickly, neurotic ambience that is spine-tingling. Only towards the end, in the giant greenhouse, does it lose steam.

Well, the OP didn't stipulate it, but I took it to mean highly regarded films that one has not seen yet (though they do list Full Moon schlock like Subspecies and Puppet Master, which are certainly not in that category).

That's why I listed the '78 Body Snatchers, as I know it's considered a very good film, I just haven't gotten around to seeing it yet.

Re: Horror movies that you still have not seen yet

I think I’ve seen the most important, the classics. From Nosferatu (1922) to Get Out (2017). If you tell me then I can confirm or deny but I’m sure there’s so so many, but I got the importants covered...

None. I have seen them all. Even ones not made or out yet.

Believe me when I say there are some good ones coming and some really bad ones coming.

Re: Horror movies that you still have not seen yet

I finally watched my copy of Cannibal Holocaust last week after 4 years of it sitting on my shelf. It was okay.

I haven't seen most pre 1970 horror films. Some of the classics but thats about it.

Re: Horror movies that you still have not seen yet

Via my *Unwatched Horror* from icheckmovies:

Memento Mori (I did rent this in the early 2000s, but couldn't get into it. I'm willing to give it another shot now)
The Ugly (1997)
Rose Red (I know. It's technically a miniseries. But I still want to see it)
Lunacy (2005) (Not sure if this is really horror though)
Retribution (2006)
Reflections (1987)
The Ear (1970)
The Door with Seven Locks (1962) (This might be more thriller/mystery)

Re: Horror movies that you still have not seen yet

By the way, it's a really odd list in the original post, don't ya think? Like, two classics (Suspiria and The Wicker Man), a decent 90s movie in Innocent Blood, then a bunch of direct-to-video dreck. I haven't seen most of those, and have no interest to, either, and I watch at least 1-2 horror movies every single week. Are we to assume the OP has seen every horror movie other than those?

That odd list reminds me of the "In Memoriam" segment in the Y2K episode of Family Guy, where Tom Tucker announces some the celebrities we lost in the past millenium:
Leonardo DaVinci
Joan of Arc
Norman Fell

Re: Horror movies that you still have not seen yet

Too many to count as I am not a horror guy. However, I have seen some of the classics, The Exorcist, Halloween (and a few sequels, + recent remake/continuation of the series), I have also seen some of the more infamous Friday The 13th kills (spear through couple engaged in coitus being one of them), and I think I saw all of The Nightmare On Elm Street Part 3. Again, so many films I have not seen in their entirety such as the Raimi horror films with Bruce Campbell, pretty much all of the Friday The 13th films, the Nightmare films, most zombie films, and many infamous films like Cannibal Ferrox, and other slasher/gorefests have gone and will continue to go unwatched by me.

I am not a gorehound and were it not for the fact that most of the gore was played up for comedic effect I probably would not have been able to watch that admittedly good Ash vs. Evil Dead series from a couple years back. To clarify, Ash taking a chainsaw to dismember a deadite I can handle without tossing my cookies, but I have not bothered to watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (Tobe Hooper original, and I have seen none of the later films all the way through) which I hear has some extreme moments of gore such as a chainsaw going through someone's head (in fact, even seeing how that scene was created through the use of latex in Fangoria still does not harden me up enough to want to watch the scene).

Re: Horror movies that you still have not seen yet

also Street Trash which more of a really wild bizarre sci fi body gore horror movie, i have never seen it at all. Back then i didnt know about it until last year.

People like me in our 40s etc we didnt keep track 24/7 for weird wild movies like those. We were too busy with school work in elementary school and watching Saturday morning cartoons

I am in possession of all but a handful of the horror films I'm interested in seeing, but there are a few hundred I haven't yet watched.

Re: Horror movies that you still have not seen yet

Most of them. Horror is my least-favorite genre (too much gore makes me queasy). I do like thrillers, such as Silence of the Lambs, Alien, or even some of John Carpenter's stuff, but I've never seen a Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street film. One exception: I do watch Stephen King adaptations.
