Yeah it was ok, a bit long in the tooth.
I will agree that everyone was great in their parts, epsecially liked Joey King. Becoming a fan of hers after this and The Princess.

I had a very fun time watching is. In the last couple of years, Brad Pitt has become one of my favorite actors, especially in comedic roles like this. The length didn't bother me as I was enjoying myself.
The reviewer on Roger Ebert's old site remarked on how Tangerine's look seemed to have been modeled off Begbie from Trainspotting. I see that totally.
I think this is among the highlights of this summer's movies.

I had a great time with this. Yeah, it's mostly style over substance, but still fun. To me it felt as if Guy Ritchie and Quentin Tarantino had a baby.

Yeah, this is the perfect summer movie. It's one of those things where you don't take seriously. I laughed at that one part with Pitt in the train toilet. And the one part near the end where he screws up. I thought the movie improved on some aspects of the novel. Turning the prince from a male (in the novel) to a female works better here. And the friendship between Lemon and Tangerine is better portrayed here than in the novel. They cut out a ton of stuff on Kimura-Prince background which is probably for the better.

I just got back from a discount matinee of this. This kind of fell on the backburner when it wasn't exactly drawing great word of mouth. It's probably my least favorite David Leitch directed movie. It had some decent action and hand to hand fight scenes, but IMO it tried way to hard to be stylized, funny and quirky like a Guy Ritchie or Tarantino movie. It was playing up the laughs more. I would have preferred a more serious action thriller vs an action comedy that this was. Also, there was way too much CGI, especially the final act. I know it would have been impossible to do this movie practically since it was filmed in Los Angeles. But, there was so much glaring CG and greenscreen areas. I didn't hate this movie. I thought some aspects were good. Sandra Bullock probably spent no more than 2 days on this movie. One day on set and One day in a voice over booth.

I'd give it a generous B-

Saw it last night with my son. He loved it. I thought it was okay but had weird tone issues. Kind of all over the place. Didn't know if it should be serious or campy from one scene to the next. Also thought it was weird that suddenly all the other passengers were off the train, that didn't make any sense
The Bad Bunny part was so brief that it felt like it shouldn't have been there. The fights were nowhere near as interesting or well choreographed as John Wick or Atomic Blonde. It wasn't a good movie, but it was a good bad movie. Some dumb fun for a way to kill couple of hours.

Although I wasn't familiar with the source material, I still found the film entertaining, though a bit long.
Brad Pitt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson & Brian Tyree Henry are fantastic in this.

As I understand it the source material was a lot more serious and dark.

I thought this was aggressively mediocre. It wasn't without its pleasures, and it was at the very least more fun than The Gray Man, but at a certain point if everything is a joke, then ultimately nothing matters. Just a lot of noise. Not quite the "throw everything against the wall and see what sticks" production that Love and Thunder was, but it's in the same ballpark.

^ I agree. Quite a disappointment. Hardly any action outside a few very short and very mediocre fight scenes. A good cast, especially Tayler-Johnson, but Andrew Koji, Zazie Beetz and Karen Fukuhara were completely wasted.

Loved this one - not sure why it’s getting so much hate. Reminded me of Smoking Aces (which I also love). Great fight scenes, fun twists and turns and tons of laugh-out-loud moments. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

It’s cinematic junk food. Some folks just love junk food, and that’s okay.

Found this to be enjoyable fluff, would have loved it when I was younger. Kinda bummed that
This was much much better than Smoking Aces imo which always felt like it was talking about what was happening instead of showing it. Also glad we finally got that sequel to Snakes on a Train.
I have been enjoying older age Brad Pitt roles. Did they film this and Lost City at the same time?

I watched the mobvie yesterday and I really enjoyed it. Great action, good comedy and a wonderful cast. Brad Pitt was perfect in the role and I liked all the others as well. I hadn't so much fun in a theater for a long time.
But man Sandra Bullock looked horrible, almost like a bad CGI version of Sandra Bullock.

No it doesn't. It's just like the very next person who called it "Fluff". It means enjoyable but insubstantial. Fun but forgettable. Nobody uses the term "junk food" as a synonym for "bad for you".

Were the celebrity cameos misdirects to make us think they were important or just nods to the director or writer?
I enjoyed it. Probably could have lost 10-20 minutes but thought it was really fun.

Brad Pitt showed up in Tatum and Bullock The Lost City, so probably they returned the favor. Pitt was also had an cameo in Deadpool 2, so probably Reynolds returned the favor and Leitch directed both Deadpool 2 and Bullet Train. Long story short, they were just nods.
