So Nicolas Cage is starting in a new movie in where he's "The Janitor" and has to fight off Killer Robots as they come to life. This sounds absolutely bonkers and I'm just waiting for a release date.

I've seen the news about the movie floating around on a few websites. I just want to be able to see this in theaters and not have it go straight to VOD. It's pretty much the plot of the Itchy and Scratchy Land episode of The Simpsons.

At this point I realize I really love Nicolas Cage doing whatever he wants to do.

He's the reason a lot of really bad movies are enjoyable and I feel like revisiting once in awhile (ie Drive Angry, Mom and Dad). And then he'll always have his actual classics (The Rock, Wild at Heart, Leaving Las Vegas, Con Air, etc.).

The last ten or fifteen minutes of The Wicker Man will always be peak Nic Cage silliness.

I'd have been more than fine if the entire teaser was just a back and forth between zooming in on Cage's face and zooming in on the weasel (?) sign's face. Yeah, looks like fun.

It does look fun. I guess Nic is finding his niche in these VOD wacky movies now. So far from Oscar glory, but at least he looks like he’s having fun.

Awesome. I was beginning to wonder why Cage didn't have any lines, but it seems like that's going to be brought up in the film.

So I keep checking streaming websites like Vudu and Amazon to see if they have a placeholder for this movie as it's being released on the 12th but nothing yet.

This movie is garbage.

I’m a horror fan, so I have a high tolerance for crappy movies. But I gave up on this after 45 minutes. It’s a waste of time.

It’s like a Youtube-quality movie. If someone told me it was filmed on an iPhone, I’d believe it. Nic Cage is completely wasted. He just stares at stuff with no expression. And all the action/horror is shaky-cam with quick edits.

Seriously, don’t waste your money on this.

In theaters and available online starting today. Only one theater is showing it in town for late shows starting Monday. I checked Vudu and they want $19.99 for a rental. I kind of understand that price for higher budgeted studio movie with this online and in theaters model. This is a small budget movie and I hate that I have to pay that much to see it.

Well, that’s a shame. I guess the movie I have in my head is infinitely better than the movie we actually get.

This premise is too good to pass up. I say, have Hollywood keep making this until they get it right!

This has now gone down in price as a rental on Vudu since its out on bluray next week. I don't mind that it might be bad but it'll be much easier now to spend $3.99 for a rental and if it sucks I'm not out much money.

I watched it last night and can say its enjoyable. I think it could have been better with a bigger budget. I thought Nic Cage might have some dialogue right at the end but he stayed silent through the whole movie.
