Nice, I'll never understand how they dropped Darkseid for Steppenwolf.

Snyder said more will be shown at DC Fandome in August. So maybe a full trailer by then.

Right, Steppenwolf leading to Darkseid makes sense. Steppenwolf being the big bad, especially with how generic his design was, was terrible. It's like if the Chitauri leader was just some generic Chitauri and not Thanos.

Darkseid was being setup for the sequel, but I think he was pulled out of the movie even before Snyder was off the project, because the sequel was cancelled.

Steppenwolf was going to be the main antagonist of Justice League, and then Darkseid would show up at the end and defeat the Justice League, which would lead into Justice League 2, where Darkseid would serve as the main antagonist. (Or something to that effect. The Knightmare sequence from Dawn of Justice certainly implied our heroes would be defeated at some point.)
But Warners decided they didn't want to do a sequel, and they were stuck with Steppenwolf as the main antagonist for the whole story.

I hope they put money in production bc that a Darkseid looked nothing like I’ve seen from the extra on Blu. He was flesh. No armor. Probably bc unfinished, I assume? Is the actor playing Darkseid any one?

I can't imagine WB/DC won't eventually to another Justice League. They see the money the Avengers films make, so they know its possible to do a successful teamup movie. Hell, even DC on TV can do teamups/crossovers sucessfully. Hopefully though they're focusing right now on developing the individual characters in their own standalone films before doing another teamup movie.
As for "Zack Snyder's Justice League Part 2," never say never, but I'd say the chances are really remote. Keep in mind that this project is a lower budget re-edit of an existing film for a streaming service, so the standards for "doing well" are different. This may "do well" for HBO Max's expectations of it, but that doesn't mean it's a level of success to launch a new production that would cost hundreds of millions of dollars. WB would have to see very specific numbers and behavior for the premiere of this that indicate that there's a level of interest for many that goes beyond, "oh, this is on HBO Max now, I'll watch it since I already have a subscription." Something like a massive spike in new subscribers, and really, really big viewer numbers in the first week.
Whenever WB gets around to another Justice League, they may borrow some story ideas from Snyder's vision, if just to keep continuity, assuming it's done with this existing cast in this "movie universe," but just because they're finishing Snyder's cut to draw interest/content to HBO Max doesn't mean WB is going to fully re-embrace Snyder's vision for the DCEU anytime soon.

At this point "never" seems naive. Warner/DC has no idea what the fuck they are doing day-to-day. It would also depend heavily on the cast, right? I mean Cavill appears to be back in the fold and if the new rumored Superman flick is true, then the Justice League needle swings further from "never" and into the realm of possibility as you have most of the team still together. Superman, Wonder Woman & Aquaman are all there. Cyborg and Flash are expendable, but the actors would probably still be on board. Then you have Affleck who is out as Batman. Would he come back for another Snyder romp?
I liked Justice League but am interested in the Snyder Cut. I'd be down for a JL2 as well.

This made me and Marc Guggeinheim also got a kick out of it too. If you have no idea who Marc Guggeinheim is, he was one of the main producers of the Arrowverse and was the showrunner of Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Ray Fisher is tweeting that Joss Whedon was a pretty terrible person on set when he did the reshoots

An artist in Hollywood can be a tyrannical jerk? MIND. BLOWN. (Whedon is still a creative genius and Snyder is still a hack, regardless)

My guess is Whedon was under a lot of pressure. Not excusing him being a jerk, but it had to be a messy/awkward situation to be in.

Whedon wasn't happy about his experience with Disney on Age of Ultron, and then he walked into the DCEU shitshow.
I'd probably be grouchy, too.

Is it just me, or does Ray Fisher come off like a whiny douche here?
Years after the fact, after previously stating that he got a huge break and he was treated like a pro when he was a total amateur, he's going on a rant about how awful Whedon was?
Sounds like he's a thin skinned, whiny, oversensitive, insecure person to me.
I mean, I don't know - Whedon could have been an overbearing jerk for all I know, but I don't recall anyone else complaining all that much about him before.
Why do I think that Fisher is going to have a harder time getting roles going forward? (How many producers and directors want whiny tattletales on their sets?)

I wonder how much of this new version of Justice League will be the original vision for the film vs. a desperate attempt to fix some of the things that went horribly, horribly wrong.
