I love the end of Django because you get to see a bunch of slavers get ganked. I can take or leave the QT scene.

Man I am so fucking tired of that example. The old Grammy voters had NO IDEA what "Metal" even meant. They made up for that mistake the very next year and over and over again. eight wins and counting, including for a two minute cover of a Queen song. That mistake has been rectified. When is The Social Network going to win Best Picture? Hell, David Fincher is still without an Oscar.

Have we mentioned TRON yet? Didn't it get passed over for VFX awards because they were computer generated and not hand-drawn? And now every single movie, regardless of genre, uses CGI in some way, if even to erase a boom mic from a scene.
That kinda thing goes to show the Academy was always behind the curve.
