Probably because nobody watches them? I didn't even remember Hugh Jackman made a Peter Pan movie until it was out on Netflix.

It seems to be getting review bombed for some reason

Probably because Tinkerbell is black.

And Peter is mixed race. And the Lost Boys have girls in them! Oh my!

Yup, it's currently a 3.7 on IMDB with 47% of votes being 1/10. Probably getting review bombed for "wokeism" or some dumb shit.

At this point shouldn't there be a Peter Pan Vs. Robin Hood film?

To be fair, the professional reviews aren't all that positive either. It's barely holding on to its fresh rating.

Wife and I enjoyed this well enough. Quite different from the original animation, it's noted that it is based on both the book and the film. Interesting take on Peter and Hook's history, and Peter is closer to the book portrayal as well. Not sure what all the "woke" baby criers are up in arms about, including girls in the lost boys didn't change anything.

That's actually a really, really good idea.

Wasn't there a line in the book about how Lost Boys are all babies who fell from their prams and that girls are too smart for that to happen to them, hence no Lost Girls?

Still doesn't change anything about the movie, they even address it right off the bat, lol.

Not the movie, perhaps, but it loses the subtext of the book. Boys, especially Peter, represent immaturity. Yes, he goes on adventures with pirates and saves native American princesses. But as fun as all that seems, it's still presented as the stuff of immature, irresponsible children. Girls, particularly Wendy, represent maturity. That's why all the Lost Boys in the book were, well, boys. That's why Wendy only goes to Neverland to keep an eye on her brothers, why she takes a romantic interest in Peter that he in his perpetual childlike state does not reciprocate, and why it's Wendy who takes her brothers and all the Lost Boys home.

Now, there is a representation of childish, girlish immaturity personified in Tinker Bell, but she dies because fairies (or immaturity in girls like Wendy) are short lived. She's also forgotten by Peter shortly after her death.
