“Deadpool 3” has relocated from Sept. 6, 2024 to Nov. 8, 2024

Feige also confirmed to EW that “Deadpool 3” will be the first R-rated movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick had previously said that Disney would not make “Deadpool” a family-friendly movie after the studio acquired Fox, which released two R-rated Deadpool movies that each grossed over $780 million worldwide. “Deadpool 3” will team franchise mainstay Ryan Reynolds with Emma Corrin and Hugh Jackman, reprising his “X-Men” role of Wolverine.

Ryan Reynolds is returning to star with Hugh Jackman and The Crown‘s Emma Corrin also on board. It is unknown who Macfadyen will be playing.

Deadpool movie franchise star Morena Baccarin has revealed she's in talks to return forDeadpool 3 – the only problem is that she may not be able to work out a deal with Disney and Marvel Studios to do so. Baccarin starred in Deadpool and Deadpool 2 as Vanessa, the girlfriend-turned-fiancée of Wade Wilson/Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds). Vanessa was murdered in the first act of Deadpool 2, setting off the events of the sequel's story. However, Deadpool 3 will see Reynolds' Deadpool teaming up with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine for a wild trip through the Marvel Multiverse. That kind of story obviously opens new doors (literal and figurative) for Vanessa to make a return.

Morena Baccarin appeared on Michael Rosenbaum's Inside of You podcast, where the question of her involvement with Deadpool 3 came up:

"Yeah, what is up with Deadpool 3? That's a really good question," Baccarin said. "I have to be very diplomatic about what I say here. I'd like to be in it. They have called me about being in it. Right now, we have not agreed on terms, and everybody's trying their best, and doing their best. It may or may not work out. I don't know."

EXCLUSIVE: Ryan Reynolds is looking to get the gang back together again for Marvel new Deadpool sequel as Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic are set to reprise their roles as Vanessa and Colossus, respectively. Reynolds recently announced Karan Soni and Leslie Uggams would return as Dopinder and Blind Al, who like Vanessa and Colossus appeared in the first two films.

They join Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and the newest cast additions Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen.

Shawn Levy is on board to direct, with Paul Wernick & Rhett Reese returning to pen the script along with Zeb Wells. Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin wrote a previous draft. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will join Reynolds and Levy as producers.

This will mark the first Deadpool film in which Marvel Studios will work hand in hand with Reynolds and Team Deadpool. Feige’s involvement comes after he helped revamp the Spider-Man franchise when he came on to help in the creative effort for that Sony series.
