I voted Alien while it consider to be sci-fi film, I pretty much jump off my seat seeing it first time. Yeah, even that stupid cat made me jump on one scene.

A Tale of Two Sisters and Pulse (the original Japanese film, obviously) are good choices. I would have to give serious consideration to I Saw The Devil as well.

Pan’s Labyrinth by country mile. That movie is sublime. Horror? Eh, not sure about that, but if those are choices, then no hesitation...

I was torn between Let The Right One In vs Pan’s Labyrinth. I went with the former only because PL could be just as easily be called dark fantasy as horror. The real horror is more in the subtext of what creates the fantasy.

i would also say The Descent and Let the Right One In, as well was, High Tension and Martyrs. Loved those. But, PL for the win.

What genre would OldBoy be considered? I always thought psychological horror, so if PL eligible, I would say OB would qualify. Obviously, that’s my #1. #1 foreign, #1 horror, lots of #1’s for me, but not all time...
