Oh yeah, this was fucking hysterical and had the proper balance of comedy and gore. I'm in love with Zoey Deutch. I hated how they styled her in Juicy Couture outfits but she was adorable. I loved how they used a different Metallica song for the opening credits, which was most appropriate.

My favorite lines were more towards the end at Babylon where the chubby hippy was all like "So group sex?" Then they just piled the insults on him like, "Excuse me, Civil War General," and "You're probably going to die first" and "thank you for your service." It was great!

Saw it with a great crowd, as well.

Oh, and Rosario Dawson is still hot AF!

Re: Zombieland: Double Tap (Fleischer, 2019) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

I enjoyed this one more than the first film, although I wasn't actually that big a fan of the original.

Abigal Breslin is starting to look like a white version of Snooki. And what's with the raspy voice? Is she a smoker?

Woody Harrelson was a riot. I expected to see a lot of carnage in this movie, and Woody didn't disappoint.

Nice to see Emma Stone back. Glad she didn't pull the "I'm an A-list Oscar winning actress now and won't appear in a sequel to a zombie movie that I made when I was a nobody!" Her role didn't really require much, but she still made the most of it. She definitely doesn't have to apologize for this movie.

Zoey Deutch took the dumb blonde role to new heights. Need to see her in more films.

Too much of Eisenberg and his smug attitude can be toxic, but his interplay with his doppelganger was hysterical.

Which zombie was Grace Randolph playing?

.

She said she appears during the end credits and she showed a screenshot of her name listed under "Reporters."

I just looked her up and Zoey is Lea Thompson's daughter. Also, folks should stay for the mid and after credit sequences.

I've been following Lea on social media for years. She's always singing her praises, and those of her other daughter Madelyn Deutch.

A good crowd for this one tonight. Very funny, nice and gory. Enjoyed more world building and everyone reinhabited their characters really well. Some fun uses of foreshadowing for the end. And yeah, both credit scenes are worth it.

I drove home in my minivan.

And their father Howard Deutch directed 3 John Hughes films. Pretty In Pink, Some Kind of Wonderful and The Great Outdoors. Also, 2 Walter Matthau/Jack Lemmon sequels. Grumpier Old Men and The Odd Couple 2.

Thought this was a pretty worthwhile sequel. Cast has good chemistry still and there was some good gore and comedy. I know she was intended that way, but the Madison character was pretty annoying after a while. Didn’t really care for her. The doppelgδngers for Columbus and Tallahassee were pretty funny while they lasted. I didn’t realize there were two end credits scene and only stayed for the mid-credits scene.

Worthy follow up. Fun and fast. No jokes made me lose it with laughter like Bill Murray getting murrayed in the first tho.

I saw this today and thought it was really fun. Woody, Jesse, Abigail and Emma all had great chemistry working together 10 years later. Some fun moments and I liked all the little guest stars.

But, I thought Zoey Deutch was the highlight. Cute and hilarious. Perfect role for her.

The post credit scene with Bill Murray was awesome.

Woody Harrelson is the source of comedy in both of these movies. Everyone else just plays the straight man that reacts off of him.

I wouldn't say BETTER than the first, but definitely a worthy follow up. I liken it to Oceans 12 (but better) where you could tell the cast had so much fun making the first that they probably would have done the sequel for free, and had a blast doing it. I love the world the Zombieland franchise has built, and would invite a 3rd movie.

Great sequel. The plot was a bit lackluster though.

It was nice to see Emma in some lighter stuff again.

Surprised people are just discovery Zoey Deutch now. Been a fan of hers for a while. Deinitely check out Everybody Wants Some and Set It Up. Flower and The Year of Spectacular Men aren't very good, but she is hot in them.

Re: Zombieland: Double Tap (Fleischer, 2019) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

I finally watched this today. First off: The Columbia opening with the zombies jumping out and attacking the torch lady freaked out me and my friend. We thought it was someone in the theater doing that.

I absolutely loved the original Zombieland. I have watched it at least five teams. I even put it on one night and rode the exercise bike for the whole movie while I watched it. I thought this was a worthy follow-up, but it was not as good as the original. Zoey Deutch and Woody were great in this. I also loved Bill Murray going ham on zombies in the mid credit sequence. I didn't like the battle at the end as well as the final battle in the original movie. I wanted to see a lot of gun play. One of my favorite scenes in the original is when Tallahassee locks himself into the carnival game booth with two pistols and a ton of ammo clips. I wanted to see more of that in the sequel. I was disappointed when they were just fighting with melee weapons. The cast has amazing chemistry and I would love to see another sequel if they choose to make one. 3.75/5

Was I the only one who called the

Spoiler:
peanut allergy as soon as they showed her eating in the car
?

A decent sequel that lacks the creativity of the first. Good laughs, worth seeing.

I may be the only one who didn’t care for the post-credit scenes though. Thought they would have been better had they worked them into the film.

I thought the allergy was obvious. No body shown.
