I'm debating if I want to wait or see it this weekend with a full theater. I saw the first movie with a sold out crowd and it was so much more fun.

Seeing this Thursday night. They literally had only 5 seats left in the AMC Dolby room.
Since it's almost 3 hours, I'll make sure not to buy any drink.

I rewatched It: Chapter 1 this weeked in anticipation for this. I still have a few of the same issues I had when I first saw it in the theater but overall it's an amazing film. I don't see too many horror flicks in the theater, but It was so much better with a crowd than sitting at home. I'm gonna have to make time to see Chapter 2 in the theater.

I have read some worrisome reviews that have completely ruined my excitement to see this despite the really good trailers.
Too fucking long for one. Most reviews have been stating that the numerous flashbacks kills the flow and almost makes watching the first movie a waste of time.

^ Flashbacks with the younger cast?
I'm still curious with this mammoth runtime if we'll get any actual flashbacks to Ironworks, or the shootout, and the like to show Pennywise in action in different time periods.

Lots of flashbacks to the younger kids sounds great to me. Parallel/flashback structure was the key to the book, so that seems fine.
Like Ive said before, I hope the directors make a final cut that combines both movies in a structure closer to the novel.

The original movie didn't work for me because it tried to be like the book which jumped back and forth. It was fine for the book; which I really liked but not so much for the adaptation. I really liked the linear way it was presented in the remake. I was hoping it would have been the same for this.

Nearly three hours is going to be torture no matter how great a film for me. I don't think my bladder can take it and I doubt they let me take in a urinal to pee in.

What happened to this forum saying running times don't matter. The longer the better.
Then we get a 2 hour 49 minute movie and now some are saying it's too long and what if I have to take a piss?

Just don't fucking order extra large coke or icee. Sit the 2 hrs 49 minutes dehydrated if you're worried about pissing in your pants. :

I made it through Once Upon a Time in Hollywood without a problem. Twice. I just don't drink a lot 4 hours before the movie and then pee right before the movie. That way I can have a Coke or two during the movie.

I don't mind longer movies generally speaking, but nearly three hours for a horror movie seems exceptionally long.
