So, Empire mag confirmed some speculation on two actors reprising rolls...annnnd, no, it's not who you think.

Spoiler:
Rhys Ifans' Lizard ("The Amazing Spider-Man") and Thomas Haden Church's Sandman ("Spider-Man 3") are confirmed

Yup, heard they were. No reason to think all the other leaks aren't true.

Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021, D: Watts) - S: Tom Holland

So, our sinister six?

Spoiler:

Doctor Octopus
Sandman
Lizard
Electro

Unconfirmed but past villains:
Vulture?
Mysterio?
Green Goblin? (more likely as his bomb and laugh were in trailer)

Possible inclusion:
Venom?

Seems the plot here is Peter and Strange (possibly in tandem with Loki series) open up the multi-verse unleashing multiple villains that Spider-man/men need to combat. The director says in Empire that this could be called Spider-man: Endgame...so that plot kinda' jives.

when Doc Ock says "Hello Peter" he's actually saying it to Maguire, but they've cut it to make it appear it's directed toward Holland.
Some pics in the current Empire magazine seems to quash that speculation.

Well, probably saying that gives it away but I'd say spoiler it just in case?

Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021, D: Watts) - S: Tom Holland

So only read if you have seen Venom 2

Spoiler:
At the end of Venom we see Eddie talking to Venom and Venom is about to reveal to Eddie that he has vast knowledge of other universes. Then there seems to be a “glitch in the matrix” so to speak and Eddie is seeing JJJ on tv complaining, as usual about Spider-Man and who really is Spider-Man. So with that will we see Venom in this next Spider-Man movie since it’s clear that he is now in the Spider/Verse?

So, I jumped the gun on. Seems director Jon Watts also states in the same article that all that is just rumours. Soooo, they are still playing this close to the chest.

Yes, that's true thus debunking some of the reports that that character won't interact with with Holland. But they are stating the other characters listed in Empire are rumours. Suuuuurrrrre Jan.

Then again, could be a lot of disappointed people come December who believe in all the characters/actors showing up.

Watch MARVEL swerve us all and debut Wolverine.

I know another trailer is forthcoming any day now... but I really like that this opens in just over a month and they haven't officially revealed much of anything. Apparently, that was an internal debate between Sony and Marvel on what to reveal too.

And if true, I totally agree with Marvel's stance on not doing a big reveal in a trailer as it would have (though most are expecting it) much more impact in the theatre. But I kinda' feel SONY may win out on at least some kinda' tease in the new trailer.

So I’m assuming Tom Holland is locked up in some dungeon somewhere with a 24 hour guard watching him at all times.

He's actually give an interview to Empire where he said Maguire and Garfield were not in the film:

"No, no, they will not be appearing in this film,” he tells the magazine. "Unless they have hidden the most massive piece of information from me, which I think is too big of a secret for them to keep from me. But as of yet, no. It’ll be a continuation of the Spider-Man movies that we’ve been making." He does also say, however: "I honestly have no idea what this film is about and I’m eight weeks into shooting it."

Another quote from him:

“I don’t know. I’m always in the dark. If they are, no-one’s told me.”

And Andrew Garfield has denied being in the film as well.

"
"I would've gotten a call by now, that's all I'm saying."

Of course, this could all be part of keeping that secret orrrrrr a lot of online speculators are going to be disappointed next month

I wish the suit would be more traditional instead of the Iron Spider again. He’ll probably have more than one look though, and maybe they wanted Holland in something different than Maguire and Garfield (even though their suits are different).

He is seen in the more traditional one a lot in the first trailer but appears he uses the Iron Spider one to confront Doc Ock from the Empire Mag photos so considering this poster it makes sense for that suit to be used. It'd be interesting to see the Ock arms vs the Iron Spider arms

I know they constantly change the suit to sell more toys, but I also miss the traditional suit.

If you mean cloned because he's dead so are Dok Ock and Elektro sooooo who knows....

I'm thinking more if they are rolling with the multi-verse thing, really, these characters could have lived in different universes in which they were drawn from into the current one.

My brain just broke.

Fan speculation with stuff like this is a real problem, if Tobey and Garfield DON’T show up there will be howls of outrage from the same crowd who somehow expected the X-Men, Fantastic Four and maybe Batman to swing in and save the day on the last episode of WandaVision…

To be fair, they set up these expectations by bringing villains (actors) over from the previous two Spider-Man franchises. Also, "Into The Spider-Verse" has already showcased multiple Spider-Men teaming up.

I really dislike the suit...he probably won't have his mask on for most if it as well.
