That’s kind of what I was thinking too, but I don't Harry would call him Parker, and also not sure if Franco will be in this given the allegations against him and the fact that he’s cancelled. I was thinking it could also be Electro.

Sounds like Cumberbatch. Doesn't sound anything like Franco.

Goddam that looks really, really good. And yeah, that was Cumberbatch saying "be careful what you wish for, Parker".

Peter, just shut up and let Strange do his thing.
And then tell people your identity after that. Jesus.

Molina is pretty much all mo-capped. And that was a CGI face, too.

This!

Spiderman movies have been the most innocent of the MCU. But so all of these problems occur because he stumbles over himself during Dr Strange's spell? That's some Saturday morning cartoon stuff.

I'll assume that Dr. Strange only did that because he foresaw some kind of means to an end (similar to the 'one path' thing). Otherwise, WTF, Steve?

Anyways I really miss the big screen MCU. We have Ten Rings, Eternals, and Spiderman all coming pretty quick.

I'm going to assume what happens in this movie has way more to with what happened at the end of Loki than this spell.

I would also guess that what is shown in this trailer, plot-wise, is just from basically the first act of the movie.

Have you seen Spider-Man: Eurotrip? That was pretty cartoonish, too. This would be a continuation.

I'm assuming the spell Strange is using is not really supposed to make everyone forget Peter is Spiderman (call it a placebo spell), and it just happens he does it when multiverse rips open

If that's the case, then how do we account for the Maguireverse J. Jonah Jameson appearing at the end of Far From Home?

I wonder whether these characters -- so far, we've seen J. Jonah Jameson and Doctor Octopus -- are crossing over into MCU from their other universe, or if they're both different versions of those characters, albeit played by the same actors, who have always existed in the MCU.

So in the MCU, J. Jonah Jamesons wasn't a newspaper editor, but an Alex Jones-type outlaw journalist.

Looks great. I just hope when it’s all said and done Peters identity is a secret. Otherwise that would be a huge change.

He'll still be a dumb ass and take his mask off to everyone that matters (and more).

I also hope we get a scene of all three Spider-Men pointing at each other.

Does Mysterio's video just disappear? JJJ's video just disappear? MJ had her suspicions before then..plus they had a flirty teenage thing happening anyway.

I'd have a bigger issue with Happy and Pepper not remembering him, but bigger fish I guess

Ah I see. I thought it looked off. Hopefully the effects weren’t complete and he looks better in the final version of the film. Looks kinda weird to me.

Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021, D: Watts) - S: Tom Holland

The only thing that I’m not liking at all is that Jonah J Jameson was the one to blurt Spider-Man’s identity to the whole world. Time and time again, it’s been shown in comics and even in the first trilogy of films that JJJ is an asshole, but won’t throw someone under the bus, much less a teenager. That thing in the last film that is leading to the premise of this one bugs me

I’ve enjoyed all the Holland Spider-Man movies on some level but I do worry that they just took a mixture of a warmed over “secret identity revealed” plot of Iron Man 3, blended with trying to capitalize on the successful plot of Into the Spider-verse, mixed in with a bit of MCU blandness…adding in Dr. Strange’s sorcery mumbo-jumbo isn’t increasing my enthusiasm.

I liked it but wasn't blown away. Doctor Octopus definitely being the best part.
Along with Dafoe's laugh
At this point I'm expecting Tobey and Andrew appearances to be more like small cameos. Actually all multiverse characters might end up having small screen time since there are quite a few and its Holland's movie after all

Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021, D: Watts) - S: Tom Holland

Growing up Batman and Spider-Man were my two favorite comics and also are the two movies franchises I’m the most unfairly critical of.
As for MCU Spider-Man it’s probably the best so far of the three, but not without its problems. The Iron Man suits are stupid, the constant taking of the mask off (yes, the others did this too). “MJ” not being MJ.
I’m guessing this will be my favorite of the three even though that horrible version of Electro is rumored to be involved.
