Well I should hope so - that’s been her name in the comics for almost 40 years.

so I'm assuming that The Thing will actually look like that in the movies, with the big brow ridge? if so, that's a step in the right direction.

Pedro Pascal is not right for this role IMO, even tho he is awesome.

Yeah not sure about Pedro Pascal but we will see. Now Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm... alright alright.

I'm curious what people don't like about Pascal, too old? He's only a few years older than Krasinski. Or too recognizable?

Reed is kind of a stuffy, too smart for his own good bore. Pedro Pascal is funny and awesome.

I think Pedro looks older than Krasinski even though they aren’t very far apart in age. Also he feels a bit like the hot in the moment choice to me. It’s not that I don’t like Pedro as an actor either. Just I didn’t see him for Reed.

Really someone a bit younger than both would have been my choice. I feel like Reed should be about mid thirties to start. A bit older but not so old that he could be around for a decade or so.

I don't care what anyone says but other than Jessica Alba, I think the 2005 & 2007 FF cast was great. Alba just didn't bring the dramatic maturity of Sue Storm that I was wanting or expecting. One could argue the same about the guy who played Reed though I think he got the dorky awkward self-involved science nerd down pretty good. Johnny, Ben, Doom and Alicia were all spot on in my opinion.

Remember when Jim Carey describes Cary Elwes as “Magoo” in Liar, Liar? Reed Richards is pretty damn “Magoo”. Pedro Pascal is not.

Having said that Pascal is a great actor and should be fine. That’s just why it feels a little off for the character.

For a young sue storm I think she was ok, but the casting was not the biggest problem with those movies (and of course Evans was awesome in a superhero role... )

Ioan Gruffudd's use of an American accent was too strange for me. He seemed to do a weird thing with his jaw/lower face in order to form the sounds and I found it distracting. I've noticed this in other actors who put on American accents.

Funny enough I didn't know why I was supposed to give a shit about (Dead Reckoning spoiler)
Spoiler:
Rebeccas Ferguson's character dying in the latest Mission: Impossible, because I didn't remember her in the previous two movies

Also, I didn't know Rebecca Hall and Rebecca Ferguson were different people until 5sec ago. They're both generic European women to me

Sorry, man... this has to be one of the most ridiculous things I've seen on this forum. You don't remember Ferguson in the previous two films??? She was a huge part of them. You'd have to not be paying attention at all.

I remembered her character after I Googled it, but her face is just so completely nothing in my brain. I didn't like Rogue Nation and I only saw Fallout once, 5 years ago. I actually don't remember what her role was in that. I barely remember the plot of Rogue Nation, just the premise. I know in that one, she was like the key to figuring out about the Syndicate or something. Also, I thought Ansen Mount was the bad guy for the entirety of Dead Reckoning until I looked at the cast on Letterboxd

I don’t understand any of that.
If we called someone Magoo when we were younger it meant they were blind.

Like I said, I don't even remember which two were the last two. I know it was the one where Tom Cruise and his team were disavowed because/so they did/could do the tech thing to recover the list of codes to open the MacGuffin to stop the virus and I don't know why the lady swallowed the fly. Oh . . . and then there was the one where Tom Cruise did the one stunt that he spent the year learning so that he could jump off/in/around the plane/train/helicopter/building himself. Was she in the one with the pretty woman?

Yeah, Pedro Pascale just seems like he's in everything right now.

Looks wise, I think if you shave him and give more a more conservative haircut, then he really looks the part. But he's also 48, probably about ten years too old, and god only knows how old he'll be by the time the Fantastic Four has run its course considering how Disney is slow-walking these things.

Speaking of Anson Mount, his Captain Pike is a pretty spot-on Reed Richards.
