With the way Natalie looked at Saturday's announcement, she needs to hit the gym like what Brie Larson did and bulk up a little. Especially if Lady Thor is going to do any major action sequences. She's always been small, but she looks a long way off from being ready for this role.

To me it looked she had a little trouble with the hammer when it was handed to her at first so she needs to pull a Linda Hamilton in T2.

I’m thinking they will go for a body double when she’s Lady Thor. If we are looking at physical appearance in the comics, there’s no way that Natalie Portman will be confused with her.

Or better, when she transforms into Thor she's replaced by Gina Carano like Shazam or the old school Donald Blake identity. I really wish someone else had been cast as Jane Foster.

The only thing that I'm curious about is how they'll pull off the height. Gal Gadot is 5'10" which is Hollywood Tall, Portman is 5'3" which means a lot of standing on boxes like she had to do in the first two Thor movies.

Kevin Hart would also be hard to visualize as Thor for similar reasons.

That said I'm down for it either way, I loved Ragnarok and really enjoyed the first Thor as well.

Brendan Fraser is Cliff Steele but Riley Shanahan plays Robotman (voiced by Fraser), Matt Bomer is Larry Trainor but Matthew Zuk plays Negative Man (voiced by Bomer)

imo it's the only way they could have budgeted the show properly, also one of the reasons Timothy Dalton was a non-player most of the season but enough name recognition to get a few eye balls.

I don't think it's that big a deal. Make her go to Brie Larson's trainer for a few months, give her a muscle suit and voila, Lady Thor.

I know it was a while ago but Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer and George Clooney weren't exactly hittin' the gym and injecting themselves with PEDs the way today's action stars are, but they made credible superheroes.

I’m excited, but like others, I want to see more of Thor with the Guardians. Hopefully that’ll come into play in some form.
