Re: Regal Unlimited -- Movie Subscription service -- To Launch July 2019
I'm on pins and needles waiting for them to release the unlimited plan. I was hoping for some news today.

I don't know if this is related, but Regal is no longer available on Atom tickets.
Which sucked, because the Spider-man movie cash is redeemable via Atom.
Based on Atom's tweet/replies, they are saying it was Regal that pulled out.
But so far, Regal is still on Fandango.

Not Regal Unlimited news, but it's official that Regal and Atom have ended their partnership

Hmm...too little too late for me. I like the flexibility and all three of the theatres I may go to are on the basic level plan, but the convenience fee (which on my quick read looks like it applies to all purchases through the app, maybe I'm wrong) just bugs me. If AMC stops waiving theirs, that may change things. Plus I've gotten used to the AMC theatres I go to. Then again, my year with AMC is almost up, so soon is the time to considered shifting if I'm going to.

This is good for someone who doesn't live near an AMC, but still likes to go to the movies often. If you're one of those who simply doesn't have the time to go to the movies more than a few times per month, then it's probably not for you.
2 key things I noticed:
50 cent convenience fee. It is cheaper than the standard fee.
and if you sign up, you must commit to at least 1 year for your initial sign up period. It's still monthly, but you cannot cancel. They only let you cancel under 2 conditions: 1) you cannot go to the movies for 3 straight months due to a medical condition. 2) you move to a permanent address outside the U.S.
So if you lose your job or have some major financial crisis come up, Regal is still going to bill you monthly in the 1st year initial sign up period.
I totally get why they have to do this. It protects them from getting burned by habitual hop on, hop off cancellations.

The service is not live yet FYI. Deadline says it will go live in the coming days. Today was just an announcement.

I would be in for the Regal Unlimited if the commitment was 6 months. A year is just too long. Still, since Cinemark (the best theaters near me; no AMCs anywhere around me) hasnt mentioned any type of unlimited pass so I might end up joining the regal club

The closest Regal to me, which is by no means a state of the art facility, is on the highest tier. Ugh.

I’m thinking of paying the first year up front.

Regal is currently my only local theater, middle tier location, $13 minimum ticket. So two films a month I make a small profit. I’m assuming films I see with this will count for the see 3/4 get 3/4 free digital codes programs? I’m in if so, otherwise, with moviepass dead the past 6 months, I’ve gotten used to not going to theaters again.

I still have like 50 passes left so I’ll probably hold off for a while, too.

The closest Regal to me sucks (non-recliner seats! I'm so spoiled) and the better one is kind of far. might be worth it for the cheapest level.
I wish Cinemark would have a program like this.

When in Oregon, the independent Pix downtown is our favorite theater.

If you watch $75-100 worth of tickets in a month with only you paying $23.50, you're already leaving way ahead.

Why should it count? This is a discounted all you can watch membership program. You're paying $23.50 to watch as much as you want in 30 days. You're technically not even paying for the ticket. Just the monthly membership fee. Those digital perks IMO should be only for those who actually pay for a ticket.

Looks like the service officially launches on Monday. I see some people online from the East coast already signing up.

Yup I just checked. You need to update your Regal app, if you have it.
and you have two payment options. Month to Month or the entire 1 year amount at once.

I'm waiting to see what my raise is like on my check today to see if I join, haha. There are 4 movies in the Regal theater that I would like to see now.

Re: Regal Unlimited -- Movie Subscription service -- To Launch July 2019
Watched Once Upon a Time in Hollywood with my first Regal Unlimited movie. Great way to start. I really missed watching unlimited movies ever since MoviePass died a year ago.
