Seeing some familiar locations there. Not necessarily from previous movies, but from around the city here. 
I like the visuals. Looks like they're finally dropping that shot-in-Canada TV movie aesthetic that plagued nearly all the SAW movies after the first one, in spite of the gore.

After the last one came out, if someone had told me that the next movie would star Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson, I would have thought they were crazy.

Of course I'll see it. I've seen and own every Saw movie. I hope that Rock does add some kind of different spin to this.
But, judging by that teaser, am I off base thinking this is a prequel? It looks like maybe it's set in the 1990s?

For the sake of just guessing bullshit, Mariol Nichols isn't in the trailer, so she's the killer! Oh, and while we're at it, one of the black characters is related to Danny Glover's, because... why not?

Why does this have to tie to Saw franchise? For fucks sake just have a nice serial killer movie with Jackson and Rock. That’s all we need. If it’s good we’ll see it, but let the franchise die, like Jigsaw in what the 3rd movie??

I guess being a “producer” has its benefits. What those are, I have no idea. I guess resurrecting movies that should be long dead. With Rock coming up in Fargo, I’m sure he could’ve picked better...
