I never got to meet him but he seemed like a really nice person who was appreciative of and loved the fans. |

I have three autographed photos from Star Wars actors. Now, they have all passed. Kenny Baker, Carrie Fisher and now Peter. He was always at San Diego Comic-Con. I figured it'd get his autograph the next year. Finally, in 2004, I got to chat briefly with him. No big surprise at how nice he was.

Of all the times I see him at SDCC, not once did I approach him. Not sure why. Gonna be sad not seeing his spot there any more :sad:

Well, fuck. :sad: RIP Mr. Mayhew. I'm glad he had a chance to be in one last SW film with the new trilogy.

as someone born in 1974 Star Wars meant everything to me. and it still does to some extent. whenever these OG actors pass away a piece of my childhood goes with it and I have a huge ache in my chest. RIP Mr. Mayhew.
