I'll watch it on home video. The trailer is pretty grating. All they're going to do is scream a lot. Meh.

Yeah this looks terrible. But will check it out on home video. We saw the trailer before John Wick 3 and my buddy thought it looked great. I was like WTF???

Yes, really grating. All that's missing is Leslie Jones.

I think Nanjiani is just so funny. The Big Sick was just incredible and I donít like standup, but for some reason I can watch him. I record his appearances on the late night shows. Just makes me laugh.

Oh, I agree with everything you say here. I think Nanjiani is a tremendous talent. But this movie doesn't look very good at all. And I was also a huge fan of "The Big Sick". It's unfortunate it only got one Oscar nomination. But at least it was recognized for it's great screenplay at the very least.

I know Bautista is trying to make a name for himself, but he still looks very weird without his Drax makeup on.

So, are the reviews basically saying Stuber is Stubid?

I have not seen it but it looks like a waste of Nanjiani's talents.

Maybe if they got Cena instead of Bautista it would have done better at the box office.

Cena's comedic talents are impeccable for sure.

Stuber was as good as could be expected and maybe even a little better than that. 8/10

I watched this on a plane. Some cool action, but the tone couldn't be balanced. Easily forgettable. Also... Bautista (50) playing father to Natalie Morales (34)? Weird. Sure, he could've been laying pipe at 15, but it just did not play well.

Oddly, I saw this on a plane last week too (Hawaiian Air).
I got about halfway thru before we landed.
It seemed OK at the time and would have probably watched it till the end.

On the return flight, I watched Kursk.
A very good Russian submarine flick:

I've never seen Natalie Morales in anything that I can recall before but nothing stood out to me as odd while I was watching the movie. Just because she's 34 doesn't mean that the character is. She can easily pass for several years younger.

Fun buddy flick that did make me chuckle a few times but on the other hand nothing special. However it's light-hearted and makes for a breezy film to sit through thanks to both Nanjiani and Baudista. 3.25/5

Baustista does not have a lot of charisma and they could have gotten any other wrestler and they could have done the same or a better job.

Did Bautista have plastic surgery? He looks different from what I remember him from his wrestling days.

I hope Kumail gets more leading roles in comedy movies.

Hair plugs and dyes his facial hair to match. He is 50 now, but started in the WWE in his 30's, so age and wear and tear have caught up.

I thought he was in his 30's or 40's at first.

I watched this last night with low expectations and thought it was enjoyable for the most part. The random over the top violence felt a little disjointed, but I actually thought the main characters had some good chemistry. I think it's worth a watch.
