Finally saw this earlier this evening.
Technically incredible and as others mentioned, captivating from start to finish.
I messed up by not seeing this one in theaters and probably won't get the chance now.

Just saw this and I absolutely loved the continuous take approach. For some movies this seems like it could be a gimmick, but in this case it was an absolutely essential element to the story - allowing it to play out in real time and permitting you to experience the entire journey exactly like the characters. When it was over at two hours, it even felt like more time had gone by somehow.
I couldn't help but think what if the often proposed 24 movie got made like this one day? Two hours of nonstop action that never cuts away (with no ridiculous subplots edited into the film). Maybe a blackout moment where Jack Bauer wakes up hours later to pad the movie into "24 hours."
This was a great experience that I'll gladly rewatch again.

I was really liking this one in the first act with its slow mounting sense of dread and character developement. The rest of the film was decent, but not as good.

Finally saw this, bought the 4K steel book a few months back. When the credits rolled I thought that it was different and cool but overall underwhelming.
Then I couldn't get this movie out of my head (still can't) and I think it's outstanding (without even having watched it a second time). They could have easily taken the mass battle route but that would have cheapened this experience (and we do get a cool bit of a war scene at the end anyway). I absolutely loved how we only get to see the after effects of war in the beginning.
Amazing movie.
