Shit, I'd been following Joe Carnahan's updates on this and I can tell he and his team made the right choices by not re-casting with known or white actors to get more money from major studios. They went indie but that level of violence is straight up Punisher style and looks great.

Cool fact, I have a couple of daggers and tomahawks made out of that same material like the one El Chicano has. The blades are made out of obsidian.

Got my tickets for Friday night. No premium theater showings, though. Just straight up digital at my AMC.

I had to push my schedule up a bit and just got back from this. It's well acted and directed. The script is more than capable. The film only opened in 600 theaters, but if it's in your area then I would recommend it. The violence is Punisher level it was shot locally, as well. Finally a badass superhero that "looks like me." :thumbsup:
