I thought Matthew Lillard was now the permanent voice of Shaggy?

He was replaced by Forte and was not happy about it. He apparently found via the trades as opposed to the studio.

He's done such a great job of voicing Shaggy, I can't imagine why the studio would do this to him. He sounds the most like Casey Kasem's Shaggy. Fred Welker has always been the voice of Fred, but he didn't start becoming the voice of Scooby Doo until 2002.

Whoís brilliant idea was it to replace Lillard with Forte? Iím interested in this but that sucks. Lillard is great as Shaggy.

Mark Wahlberg, Jason Isaacs Join Animated Scooby-Doo Movie 'Scoob'

The Warner Bros. pic will see Wahlberg voice the role of superhero Blue Falcon, while Isaacs will play villain Dick Dastardly.

Mark Wahlberg and Jason Isaacs have joined Scoob, Warner Bros.'s upcoming Scooby-Doo movie, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Isaacs will voice star as the villain Dick Dastardly, while Wahlberg will play the superhero role of Blue Falcon. They join a voice cast that includes Frank Welker as Scooby, and Will Forte, Gina Rodriguez and Tracy Morgan for a ride in the Mystery Machine.

Scooby will be produced by Warner Bros. and its Warner Animation Group division, with Tony Cervone directing the feature that also counts Chris Columbus, Charles Roven and Allison Abbate as producers.

The project brings the mysterious and borderline supernatural hijinks of four teens and their (borderline) talking Great Dane, Scooby-Doo, to the big screen for the first time since 2004’s live-action Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed.

Rodriguez will voice Velma, known as the brains of the group. Forte will voice Shaggy, the scaredy-cat slacker who is best friends with Scooby. Morgan will voice a character not part of the Scooby universe, but rather part of the larger Hanna-Barbera cartoon universe, Captain Caveman.

The story sees the Mystery Inc. gang join forces with other heroes of the Hanna-Barbera universe to save the world from Dick Dastardly and his evil plans, and this time, we are told, the threat is real. The movie is slated for a May 2020 release.

Wahlberg is also set to star as Col. Steve Austin in Six Billion Dollar Man, the upcoming big-screen adaptation of the classic 1970s sci-fi TV show. Isaacs counts Netflix's The OA and the Harry Potter franchise as well as Hotel Mumbai and Death of a Stain among his credits.

Isaacs is repped by Gersh Agency, Independent Talent Group and Silver Lining Entertainment. Wahlberg is repped by WME and Leverage Management.
I can't hear Wahlberg as Blue Falcon. At all. Gary Owens is forever etched in my brain. Not, "hey Dyno-mutt, say hello to ya mutha for me."

There's no way Wahlberg call pull off even a decent sound Blue Falcon. Very poor casting decision.
