Weed Movie Played on 80s HBO
 
This has been bothering me for years. I remember a movie they used to play on HBO back in the 80s. It's about a guy who grows weed then goes to Morocco to try out their hash. All I remember is that the first scene of the movie shows the guy rolling a joint at his kitchen table, and that the main guy has a moustache. If I'm remembering correctly, he's also into Shinto. The only other scene I remember is when he's in Morocco and tries some hash in a long pipe. It's not a comedy, it was straight-up drama. Does anybody else remember this movie? I've looked online using a variety of search terms, but so far have come up empty. Thanks in advance for any help!
