These assholes, didn't even mention us. I mean, it's fuckin' Jules, man She's sweet. Fogle, you don't count.

I would say this also launched Seth and Evan as writers, not as actors.

Definitely not the most, but The Hangover brought Galifianakis, Helms, Jeong and Cooper into the spotlight.

How about The Goonies? First big role for Josh Brolin, Corey Feldman and Sean Astin. Also Red Dawn in the 80s.

It hardly "turbo charged their careers". Again, this is one of those movies that had many future stars in major roles, but didn't kick anyone's career into the stratosphere.

And Feldman had been in a ton of big movies before Goonies. Heck he had a big role in Gremlins (a much bigger movie) 2 years earlier.

Yep, that's the first one that popped into my head as well.

Looks like Feldman mainly did bit parts in tv shows before Goonies. I only remember him in a few scenes in Gremlins so not sure that was a big role. After Goonies, he became one of the biggest stars of the 80s. Stand by Me and then the whole Corey and Corey era. Looks like Brolin went more the tv route, but he was a big star in The Young Riders which debuted a few years later.

Corey had the major role of Tommy in Friday the 13th Part IV. In 1984. About six months before Gremlins, and two years before Goonies.

It's a collection of movies, but the MCU has really kick-started and/or turbocharged many careers. They all owe a lot to Kevin Feige.

- Robert Downey Jr. He was getting steady work in the 2000s, but nothing that lit the box office on fire. Then Iron Man came out in 2008, Tropic Thunder later that summer and Sherlock Holmes the next year. It's been one long Marvel ride since then.
- Chris Evans. Stuck in middling parts for most of his career until Captain America.
- Chris Hemsworth. A virtual unknown until Thor.
- Tom Hiddleston. He would be an England-only actor if it wasn't for Marvel.
- Gwyneth Paltrow. The only reason she still has an acting career is because of Marvel.
- Chadwick Boseman. Like Hemsworth, an unknown until Civil War/Black Panther.
- Chris Pratt. A chubby tv actor until Guardians of the Galaxy.

Re: Which movie Kick Started/Turbo Charged the Most Careers ?

Downey has had multiple peaks and valleys, largely due to self sabotage. Iron Man increased his future paychecks, but it was really Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Zodiac that re-established him to the point of being an option for Iron Man.
I would argue that Evans career is still small movies other than Captain America, which has been an outstanding pairing of actor and role for him. This will be the ninth straight year he will have played that part in a movie.
I would disagree with Paltrow. She was a star in 2008. She's slowly transitioned away from acting since then.
Boseman played Jackie Robinson and James Brown in the respective Jackie Robinson and James Brown biopics before he played Black Panther.

Didn't Pratt get into phenomenal shape for Zero Dark Thirty (and the Lego Movie came out the same year as Guardians). If anything, Guardians was a breakout role for Batista.
