The outlaws made headlines. The lawmen made history. Watch The Highwaymen on Netflix March 29, 2019.

From director John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side), THE HIGHWAYMEN follows the untold true story of the legendary lawmen who brought down Bonnie and Clyde. When the full force of the FBI and the latest forensic technology aren’t enough to capture the nation’s most notorious criminals, two former Texas Rangers (Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson) must rely on their gut instincts and old school skills to get the job done. THE HIGHWAYMEN also stars Kathy Bates, John Carroll Lynch, and Kim Dickens.

Great cast.
However, B&C is just too familiar a story to me.
I don't know if I'll watch...

But hasn't most Bonnie and Clyde stuff focused on the criminals rather than law enforcement?

Yes.
Much has been written/documented about B&C being run to ground too.

Watching the trailer, I was fully expecting this to be directed by Walter Hill.

Looks good.

I never really cared for the Bonnie & Clyde romance stories so it’ll be a nice change of pace to see the other side things.

It wasn't bad. I liked the pairing of Harrelson and Costner. I felt it might have been better as a 6 episode series.

Saw this last night and thought it was real good. Little bit too long IMO the shootout at the end was brutal and overkill. Amazing many people went to service on Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow but this was during the Depression and many believe the bank were evil and that the outlaw pair was their savior.

I really liked this. Woody and Kevin made a nice pair. Crazy how people idolized them back then. Sickening as well IMHO. No different from the gunfighters in the old west I guess.

And yet, that's how it went down. Just check out the photos during the end credits. It's interesting to compare the shoot-out to the one from the '67 film, which is shown from B&C's perspective.

I enjoyed this. Almost felt like Costner's Elliot Ness and Harrelson's character from True Detective were teamed up to take down Bonnie & Clyde.

I appreciated how the film attempted to de-romantacize the couple, who were really just a pair of despicable sociopaths.

I watched it last weekend and liked it a lot. No glamorization of Bonnie and Clyde here. In fact, I think it didn't even show their faces until the end.
I still like the Warren Beatty movie, too, but this is a more historically accurate story. I was surprised to learn Texas had a female governor in the 20s and 30s.

"Bonnie"''s face was shown (at an extreme angle) in the first scene right before she shot someone.

In real life, it WAS brutal and overkill:

Got to see the car along with other items, like Clyde's blood-soaked shirt, in san Diego. I think the items were part of a tour. Man, those bullet holes were big.

Saw this over the weekend and LOVED it. But I love most things Cosnter is in. I though he and Harreslon had great chemistry and the historic aspect was fascinating. My wife may be related to Bonnie.
