re: Ghostbusters III (2015) S: Jonah Hill

I'm all for a GB3....as long as it's good enough to justify it actually existing. I want a plot and a cast list beyond the original GB before I get excited.

re: Ghostbusters III (2015) S: Jonah Hill

From Aykroyd:
“The role of a lifetime has been written for Bill Murray. Contrary to what was in a lot of the press, I did not call him and tell him the ultimatum… ‘don’t be a jerk’. I was quoted as saying, ‘You better get on board.’ I would never ever talk to Billy like that,” he says.

A draft for the new script has been turned in by the young writers assigned by the studio.

“So, if we can pull it off, we’re going to start to work pretty soon,” he says.

I'm pretty excited. I just hope they cast the "new" Ghostbusters well. I would love to see Jason Segal as a Ghostbuster. I think he would be a good fit.

Jason Segal and the guy who plays Finn from Glee. They'd make an excellent duo as brothers or something.

Jason Segal would be a perfect fit for GB.

I'll +1 that. I just pray to baby Jesus that Michael Cera does not end up in this film.

Segal and Rudd would work. Hell, just get the 4 guys from The Hangover and it'd work.

I dunno about that. Segal and Rudd are perfect for it. I'd love to see Craig Robinson in it. Love his vocal delivery of lines. I'd put it Ed Helms in it too. Those 4 I could see doing the GBs justice.

I think Romany Malco would be a good Ghostbuster.

Rudd is good for anything but he would be awesome playing a Bill Murray type role in G3.

I take your Rogen and replace him w/ Ed Helms (aka Andy Bernard from The Office) and I think it'd be great. I loved Rogen in the Apatow flicks. Think he did good in Zack and Miri. Haven't seen Observe and Report yet but it's on my list. I dunno if I want his style in a GB flick. Like maybe it might come off too childish in way? I dunno how to explain it.

i'd want him to be the Egon character and play it rather straight like he did in FUNNY PEOPLE

Segal, Rudd, Rogen, Robinson

See not that I'd mind a Female Ghostbuster...I can see how the story plot would have a whole, oh we have a girl on the team and nobody believes in her cuz she's a girl and then the girl saves them and everything is ok. I don't want that. Of course...they did introduce Winston and nobody made a big deal out of that. So...you never know.

Who'd you pick for a Female GB?

Duh... Megan Fox!!!

j/k

With the guys names being tossed around, the easy pick is Elizabeth Banks. She wouldn't just be a pretty face with a proton pack, she could handle her own with the guys. I don't know if I can picture her in a jumpsuit though.

And they will be there but...we're still playing w/ the idea of them getting a new younger team in to play against the original GB.
