The tone to this movie is so different (read: inferior) to Unbreakable. Where Unbreakable was quiet and elegiac; Glass makes is played out in the most prosaic way possible.

Yes, not a fan of the sixth sense. Love Unbreakable. Glass feels like his most complete film because of everything coming full circle (most people will not care about that aspect because they wanted some big payoff ending) it just felt like it wrapped things up nicely (listen to Jacksons speech at the end) and I feel he did it the beat with Glass out of all of his films - mainly due to all the material he used (I think this is his longest film as well??).

Completing a trilogy, coming full circle oesn’t make the single movie a complete movie.

Glass is a train wreck. It’s poorly told and a lazy movie.
Lazy all around with the exception of Macavoy.

You're entitled to your opinion of course, I just disagree.

All good but to explain more, here's why I say it's his most complet (if you're interested):

- having to setup the glass and beast relationship.
- wrapping up Glass's role in it all (it's his movie) while also providing just enough of the bigger picture.
- bringing back Casey as more than just a means to "turn" the beast at the end.
- Tying in all 3 stories THROUGHOUT the entire film.
- Utilization of some flashbacks not seen in the other films to try and throw you off (this gave more impact when the Dr. Said "did I convince you that you might bot have powers").
- Carerully showing the genius of Glass (how he played them the entire time - granted this didn't start until later in the film but it was still well done.
- Great fight scenes - they were well done and I personally didn't feel left wanting more when it was over.

Few other things as well.

I’m glad you were able to get all that from this movie.

i need to figure out how to purge it from my brain.

Just saw this. I think the concepts in the movie are better than the actual movie itself. The ending where I expected a bunch of super heroes to show up to the station was sort of a WTF? I liked the concept of sort of a fledgling Shield organization. I thought the "powers" needed to be just a touch more super-hero-ey to really pull the movie off. Just seems like a movie that should have taken this script as sort of a base and had someone completely re-write it. I'd actually be open to another.

Y'all give Macavoy far too much credit.

A wise man wrote, about three months ago, "You're entitled to your opinion of course, I just disagree."

So, umm... That.

I already forget most of the scenes in Glass but Macavoy was excellent in Split. To the point where I now think he looks strange with hair, dressed normally.

Finally saw this and Split in the last month or so. It entertained me, but was a slight step down with each film imo.
Unbreakable 4/5
Split 3.5/5
Glass 3/5

Just watched this. A worthy and surprising end to Unbreakable. It’s unfortunate it took so long to get the sequels around. They were on their way since 2001.

Rian Johnson: “I’m going to take the hero of the series and end him in the most disappointing way imaginable”.

M Night Shyamalan: “Hold my beer”.

I finally got around to watching this and the new Hellboy.
That was a bad day. This was a terrible movie.
