Why? That is around the actual runtime of the first one when the credits started to role... which had 20 minutes of credits between the credit scene and Spider-Verse trailer.

Some early Twitter reactions from a fan screening:

There is a credit scene apparently... which may or may not have leaked. If what leaked is true... interesting...

I both like and don't like that scene, which I'm assuming is true.

Let's wait and see how it ends up

So does this mean this one will be like 70 minutes of movie? Or it's 90 minutes before credits?

Probably 80 or so before credits. The first one was 92 minutes before credits. It was like an hour into the first movie before anything even happened with Venom. Now they don’t need to waste time with setup and can just get right into it.

I had completely forgotten the 1st movie was only 92 minutes before credits.

I still think one of the reasons Deadpool was so successful, was because they had the balls to make it R-Rated. If you're making a Venom movie featuring Carnage and you don't have the courage to make it R-Rated, then forget it. I understand how they're worried about eventually tying it in the the Spider-Man movie universe, but I have no faith in this movie. I actually thought the first one was pretty bad. I know it made a ton of money, but I didn't enjoy it. This one? Man, I love Woody Harrelson, and I loved his casting...But PG-13? No thanks. I just think this is going to be a supremely bad movie, and they're rushing it out because there's just not too much shit in theatres right now...So why not? Given the uptick in COVID, I wouldn't be surprised if it got delayed again...Or "re-delayed"...

Reserved my seat for the early Thursday night showing of V/Carnage. Getting ready to rewatch Venom 2018 and will be reposting my original review to my webpage this weekend.

Part of me feels like Iíve already seen the movie just based on the trailers. Obviously not the story in full, but it feels a lot like the first film only with Carnage inserted.

The problem is the first film was essentially Venom vs an Evil Person With a Symbiote, which makes this feel like a retread.

Yeah, pretty much. Thatís kind of what I mean. That and itís more of the Eddie Brock/Venom comedy hour. I dunno. Just looks alright. I liked the first film, but it wasnít outstanding or anything.

I will be in Wisconsin with my Daughter to attend the Michigan game at Camp Randall when this comes out. We will probably catch it at a theater there.

The first one felt like and this one also looks like, similar to mid-2000s superhero stuff like the Thomas Jane Punisher, Ghost Rider, etc. Not good, but a certain YMMV charm.

My girlfriend will be out of town for a few weekends in October, so I may end up checking this out to escape some boredom.

Yeah, totally agreed. The first movie almost felt like it was made in the early 2000s, and was unreleased until 2018. I didnít mind it for what it was, but it was really just alright. More of a movie to watch once and forget about (I havenít watched it since it came out).
