Turns out that was Richard Dreyfuss, according to some reviews that name-check him . . .

This was a fun fantasy ride.
Acting was very good throughout the cast.
Looks terrific in HDR and audio wasn't bad either.
It does remind me of Smoking Aces with its over-the-top violence.

Wow was that ever awful. Truly ugly and vulgar film. With one of the most shameless setups for a sequel. Which will be basically be a remake of "Leon". And oh, spoiler alert, everyone gets shot in the head at least once. Enjoy!

I didn't think it was god awful but the "Watch That Again" button that popped up kinda annoyed me. Visually, it looks similar to Smokin Aces but some stuff actually happens in this.

This one is squarely for the inner 13 year old.

I barely made it 30 minutes. Switched over to Dark Matter...

You didn't miss much of anything. Mads kills about a hundred people, Vanessa Hudgens cries a lot, Johnny Knoxville gets an erection.

Richard Dreyfus is in it for like 39 seconds. FWIW, it was entertaining.

This was obviously mindless, base entertainment, and that should have been obvious just reading the premise caption on the screen before you even click play, and expectation of anything more than that is just silly.

Having said that, I rather enjoyed it. Didn't take long to figure out from watching the style it was based on a comic (and I correctly guessed Dark Horse), and I was able to just sit back and enjoy a couple hours of shallow, poorly developed characters killing dozens of nameless, inept henchmen, a bad guy cookie-cut right out of a cartoon, and a completely predictable plot.

Looking forward to watching it again. Why? Because I don't watch movies like this expecting to see them rewarded with Oscars.

Wasn’t high art, but sometimes I’m in the mood for brainless mainstream TV or films like this. I was in that mood, and quite enjoyed the ride. Doubt I’ll ever watch it again though.

I though this was a good time - I love the dis to John Wick, that was funny. Action was solid throughout and even though this flick is hokey, it was never lame. Definitely worth a watch.

I thought it was a decent one-time watch. I’ve read one volume of the comic and liked how the movie included the opening scene from it.
