From New Line Cinema comes the romantic comedy “Isn’t It Romantic,” starring Rebel Wilson (“How to Be Single,” the “Pitch Perfect” films), Liam Hemsworth (the “Hunger Games” films), Adam Devine (“The Intern,” the “Pitch Perfect” films) and Priyanka Chopra (“Quantico,” “Baywatch”), under the direction of Todd Strauss-Schulson (“A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas,” “The Final Girls”).

New York City architect Natalie works hard to get noticed at her job but is more likely to be asked to deliver coffee and bagels than to design the city’s next skyscraper. And if things weren’t bad enough, Natalie, a lifelong cynic when it comes to love, has an encounter with a mugger that renders her unconscious, waking to discover that her life has suddenly become her worst nightmare—a romantic comedy—and she is the leading lady.

Wilson stars as Natalie, alongside Liam Hemsworth as Blake, a handsome client; Adam Devine as her earnest best friend, Josh; and Priyanka Chopra as yoga ambassador Isabella.

Strauss-Schulson directs from a screenplay by Erin Cardillo and Dana Fox & Katie Silberman. Todd Garner (“Paul Blart: Mall Cop,” “Tag”), Gina Matthews and Grant Scharbo (“13 Going on 30,” “What Women Want”) are producing, with Marty Ewing (“IT,” “The Accountant”) and Rebel Wilson executive producing.

Collaborating with Strauss-Schulson behind the scenes are director of photography Simon Duggan (“The Great Gatsby,” “Hacksaw Ridge”), production designer Sharon Seymour (“Argo,” “The Town”), editor Andrew Marcus (“Begin Again,” “Sing Street”), and costume designer Leah Katznelson (“How to Be Single,” “Sleeping with Other People”).

New Line Cinema presents, in association with Bron Creative, a Broken Road/Little Engine Production, “Isn’t It Romantic.” Slated for release on February 13, 2019, and will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company. The film has been rated PG-13.

Yea yea yea... "Rebel Wilson sucks", etc. etc. Let's leave the fat and misogynistic jokes out for once.

Normally I wouldn't give a shit about this, but it is from the director of The Final Girls, which I loved. It looks somewhat in the same vein as that.

I love the premise of the movie but I really do not care for Rebel Wilson. I haven't liked her in ANYTHING she has been in. She even made Ghost Rider worse somehow. I would have preferred to see this with an Elizabeth Banks / Rachael McAdams type.

While i'm not a fan of hers either, wouldn't the two people you mentioned defeat the purpose of the movie? The lead is supposed to be somebody who wouldn't be the "typical" lead of a romantic comedy. Last thing we need is another pretty brunette with glasses and her hair in a pony tail to show that they are "normal".

If Gary Marshall wasn't deceased, I could see this as something he would have directed.

I thought the trailer was amusing. But, I'm also not really a fan of Rebel Wilson.

Reminds me of that John Candy movie from several years ago where he woke up one day and found himself living in a soap opera.

I was watching that other movie a couple days ago (Delirious) and opted to give this movie a shot (It's streaming on Netflix overseas), they're similar. This one does a good job of making rom com tropes borderline creepy and offensive and also incredibly stupid. It's amusing in an incredibly self-aware sense.

Though I did almost feel bad for Rebel Wilson for all the linebacker jokes.

I had a free movie ticket to burn today and decided to catch this on a whim.

It was okay. Mildly amusing. The trailer showed most of the funnier scenes. Not something I would ever need to re-visit, but it was a light and breezy 88 minutes. It does have some really cheesy moments that will make you cringe.
