Last Rampage - Robert Patrick

Anyone in the mood for an excellent, gritty true crime Prison Escape film?
Look no further...here it is.

This movie is based on a real prison escape in Arizona in 1978.
The story involves the escape of convicted murderers Gary Tison and Randy Greenawalt, with the help of Tison's 3 young sons.
All in the Family, as it were.

The movie is gripping, bringing the audience into the world of cold blooded killers who will stop at nothing.

Robert Patrick gives a terrific performance as the scary SOB ringleader Tison.
The movie opens with a black screen saying "based on a true story."
Unlike so many other "true story" movies, in this particular instance it is as close to being actually true as any film I have seen.
For those who want the history (warning SPOILERS):

Currently, streaming on NF.
It's too bad this didn't generate more attention (particularly for Patrick) when it was released in 2017...it deserved it IMO.

Couldn't find a thread on this film.
Mods, please merge if one exists.

While I would never not encourage anyone from posting a movie request they feel people should watch; this was not very good sorry. Probably due to budge restraints the cgi gunshots on the windshield for example. The acting of the three boys was very poor and I almost shut it off. I sort of wish I did.

I think had I known the story ahead of time I probably would not have bothered as there really was nothing to this other than the crazy dad getting his sons to commit a crime and then the
Spoiler:
killing spree they went on to escape,
I guess maybe that's the story. Sorry I did not enjoy this at all.

Unlike Patrick, they were not charismatic.
However, this was appropriate when you think about the context of their characters in the movie. ;)

Spoiler:
They were under the spell of a father who had been built up to mythic proportions by their mother.
All they really knew about him was what their nutty Mom had told them growing up.

Well, I'm sorry you didn't.
FWIW, it did get some solid reviews.
