Forgettable movies with star studed casts

This thread is devoted to the movies that had star studded casts, and yet the movie turned out to be very bad and forgettable, and as a result the movie is never mentioned anymore. Two that come to mind immediately are:

Next of Kin: The movie has Patrick Swayze, Liam Neeson, Bill Paxton, Helen Hunt, Adam Baldwin and Ben Stiller.

The Circle: Has Tom Hanks, Emma Watson, John Boyega, Bill Paxton and Karen Gillian.

Jonah Hex: Josh Brolin, Megan Fox, John Malkovich, Michael Fassbender, Wil Arnett and Michael Shannon.

What other examples can you think of?

Re: Forgettable movies with star studed casts

The best examples are probably going to be films like All the King's Men and Nine, which were attempts at Oscar winners but were not well regarded enough to get much attention.

Actually, The Circle seems like a great example because I don't remember it at all.

She's Funny That Way

Jennifer Aniston, Imogene Poots, Owen Wilson, Rhys Ifans, Kathryn Hahn, Cybill Shepard. I don't think people have heard of it much less remember it.

Re: Forgettable movies with star studed casts

I like Airheads, but it should have been funnier than it was. First off, it's directed by Michael Lehmann, who made the classic Heathers. Then look at the cast:

Brendan Fraser
Steve Buscemi
Adam Sandler
Michael McKean
Joe Mantegna
Chris Farley
Michael Richards

Pretty much any AIRPORT movie. I mean, this one had Jack Lemmon, Christopher Lee, James Stewart, George Kennedy, Olivia de Havilland and Joseph Cotten, for cryin' out loud! And I don't remember a damn thing about it.

I bought that "Airport" box set about a year ago. They're all so bad they're good. Expect for "Airport '79". Woof! That was just terrible. But the others are a lot of fun. Especially "Airport '77" (IMO).

I don't have any contributions at the moment, just popped in to say I thought Next of Kin was actually pretty good, liked it enough to buy the video, and Armageddon was anything but forgettable. I thought it was a fun popcorn flick, we watch it whenever it comes up in the rotation.

But they're not forgotten. Most star studded disaster flicks with all star casts may suck but are among the most famous and remembered movies of the 70s.
The one I mentioned, When Time Ran Out, was so bad it barely got a release and went straight to tv.

I was thinking about Casino Royale(1967). Star studded cast and pretty bad. However, because of Bond, the movie will always be well known and never forgotten.

"Forgotten" and "forgettable" are not the same thing. All these forgettable movies that the OP asked for are remembered by everyone who posted them. If we'd forgotten them, then we wouldn't post them. But what happens in them is forgettable.

I thought it was about falling into obscurity.

"The Player". I liked this movie but you never hear it mentioned much and wasn't much of a box office success. It featured cameos with many of the then current Hollywood stars and some that were past their prime.

Despite its reputation, this film is nowhere NEAR as bad as the world makes it out to be. In fact, it's pretty damn good.
