These 1-day showings aren't really giving this movie a chance to find more viewers. Even though today is a Holiday, I'm sure most of you don't have time to see a movie on a week day.

I know not everyone here is interested in a WWI documentary, but this is a fantastic film and deserves to be seen by more people.

My son and I saw it today and we both loved it. He is almost 15 and thought it was great.

The restoration of the footage is honestly jaw-dropping. I also enjoyed the 3D as it gave it a lot of depth you wouldn't otherwise have. The making of at the end is worth staying for as well.

Glad that we saw it in the theater and they gave a second chance though they really need to give this a proper release.

They really do need to give it a proper release. I was disappointed I missed it in December and had no idea it came back yesterday. Maybe during awards season?

Saw a preview for this tonight. Not a huge war buff but this looks pretty interesting and the footage is pretty amazing. Might check it out eventually if it comes to my theater.

This will "open" on Feb. 1 (1/31) with more screenings. It won't just be one day. Looks like it will be for a week but the times are limited. It seems it is letting me use A-List to see it, which it wasn't before.

Interesting. Looking at the upcoming run, mine local area is the reverse. Only one 2D showing. And when it was playing on one day only, there weren't any.

Happy that I can finally see this on Friday. Got my choice of 3D (AMC) or 2D (Alamo Drafthouse).

Re: They Shall Not Grow Old (2018, D: Peter Jackson) -- documentary

Saw this again today. This time not in 3D. Just as good and amazing as it was seeing it in December. Not having to wear those damn 3D glasses this time around, I think I started noticing more details in the footage. There were only 2 others in the theatre I was in. Understandable since it was a Monday afternoon and most are at work.

If you still haven't seen it yet, better hurry. I think this is the last week of it's theatrical run. Looks like showings will end after Thursday.

I didn't stay for the 30 minute making of documentary this time around.

Re: They Shall Not Grow Old (2018, D: Peter Jackson) -- documentary

https://www.vudu.com/content/movies/...ow-Old/1031386

Now on Digital. But it's quite expensive at $23 at Vudu.

Its $20 at FandangoNow.

https://www.fandangonow.com/details/...i=0&eci=movies

However, the running time is only 99 minutes. So it's missing the 30 minute making of documentary that was shown in theatres on those releases.

It's also available on iTunes for $20, but that one has the 30 minute documentary as an extra. So if you're synced up on Apple TV, you'll get it.

So if I get iTunes version and that’s synced to vudu, I’ll get the making of doc in vudu?

You will get it in the Movies Anywhere app, but not in VUDU it appears. There are actually a lot of movies with extras in MA but not in VUDU for some reason.

Just download the Movies Anywhere App and sign up. It's super easy and syncs to all the major VOD apps. And you'll be surprised at how many more bonus features you'll get on there as opposed to being strictly on Vudu.

And sticking to topic, yes if you watch the documentary, the behind the scenes documentary is so worth watching. It's amazing what they did to make this film.

I just love how Peter Jackson made a film that would appeal to Senior Citizens...But you have to have a young man’s tools (VOD app, Region Free Blu-Ray Player) just to see it.

Are you kidding? He documents one of the most important events in human history and apparently does it in a magnificent way, according to reviews. I’m no where near a senior citizen and I can’t wait to see it. And if my grandpa were still alive I would play it for him. This was made for families. Many ways older folks can see.

It's still in theaters in the US (up to $17m, impressive), the Blu-ray/DVD will be out eventually. The VOD release is marked as Early Release.

Also, most 70 - 80 year olds I know have either a Fire Stick, Roku, or Apple TV. They just refuse to pay $20 for a movie.

No I wasn't talking directly to you as a Senior Citizen. My dad's in his 60's and (While attending a movie with him late last year) there's this press junket-program that plays in the pre-show that had Jackson promoting TSNGO. My dad was captivated by the looks of the film and was asking me questions about it. But (Thanks to the movie-news that I find out on this forum) I knew it was gonna be impossible for him to see it right away. Sadly, I'm sure he's already completely forgotten about the film by now. Like DJariya mentioned, there could have been a HUGE audience for this film. Too bad most will have to settle on seeing this on the small screen.

We just watched The Mule tonight and there was a preview before that said coming soon to blu ray and digital. They didn't give a release date though, so probably May or June.

The digital copy is on sale for only $9.99 at Vudu.

Again, if you still haven't seen it yet, it's a great film. Totally worth it if you're a fan of historical documentaries.

Ahh, looks like an error on Vudu's part. Only HD appears to be the max. The artwork on Vudu says UHD.

Still a good deal regardless.
