True, but I think this breaks mold and human characters, not toys. Also, GG nom. We’ll see, but how great would that be??

I hope it wins, but I feel like Disney and Pixar always win by default by name.

Not sure I would've seen this in theaters, but my kid wanted to, so we went yesterday, and it was a gas to watch. I liked Aquaman, but this was just more FUN.
I'm not familiar with Spider-Man past the Bronze Age, and Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen, and Spider-Ham are just names to me, but now I want to read more.
Loved the Easter eggs with namedrops for Bendis, Ditko, Romita, etc. The extended Stan cameo was great.
I always stay for the end credits and was amused by the song. I saw the credit to Disney for the 1967 Spider-Man footage and thought that was referring to the few seconds of the song at the beginning, then watched the post-credits scene.

I saw this on Friday with my wife. I thought it was freaking excellent, best Spider-Man movie since Spider-Man 2 easy (and leagues better than Homecoming or any of the Amazings). I was very concerned that I wouldn't like the mashing of all of the universes, but I was thankfully wrong. Loved every major character top to bottom. And my wife didn't hate it which is always a plus (she was actually quite into the soundtrack).
Whenever this gets released on 4k/steelbook, I'm there day one. I would gladly show this to my 3 year old (4 year old probably once this goes to disc) and have no reservations as well. I did find interesting though the showing we were at, hardly any kids.
One final thing, with the Kingpin being in this movie....if they EVER want to do a film like this for Daredevil (like the Born Again saga) and I'm talking the visual style, I'd eat it up in a second. Actually, I'm begging Marvel to do it even if it would just end up on a premium service.

I liked it a lot, but I think I was a bit spoiled by the (over)hype for it - it's not the best superhero movie ever made (I can think of at least 5 others I'd pick over it), but it's a very entertaining, heartfelt ode to the Spider-Man mythos. I'd have loved to see even more Spider-people show up during the final act (the Jessica Drew Spider-Woman, Spider-Man 2099, etc).
I will agree with others who've said that the "blurry" foreground/background in parts distracted me quite a bit (I just got new glasses a few weeks back too so it kind of made me worry I was having eye issues until I realised it was intentional). I'm wondering if they won't be so grating on the smaller screen at home, it wasn't so bad once I got used to it.

I rewatched the movie today, after some friends came to town and wanted to check it out. I said sure, why not, I liked it enough the first time. I gave it 3.5 out of 5.
I'm now changing my grade to 4 out of 5. This is a really special movie. Imaginative, full of heart, amazing pop art visuals, and everything. Still not quite the masterpiece it's made out to be by the hype, but a a damn fine movie (and the best animated film of 2018, especially after the enjoyable but relative disappointments of Incredibles 2 and Ralph Wrecks The Internet).

Just remember who said first this will will best animated Oscar. Golden Globe seals it, but even prior I knew this was different and would dethrone Pixar...

Caught it for a 2nd time tonight. This time not in 3D. I enjoyed it a lot more without wearing the annoying 3D glasses.
Final sequence was just amazing. The colors were so vibrant.
Last time I left after the 1st post credits (tribute to Stan Lee). I was unaware of a 2nd one. But this time I stayed for the 2nd one. That was hilarious with that version of Spider-Man (who was that supposed to be?) interacting with 1967 Spider-Man and arguing.

Although I guess technically Oldboy was really just asking the question and I followed up with the prediction. So technically I predicted it first.

But I'm fine with sharing the credit with Oldboy

Saw this last night and loved it. Post credit scene was hilarious.
I'm with team Tanman in pulling for this to win the oscar.
