That was one of two things that bothered me, but may have bothered me more if they acknowledged it.

Why was there no mention/reference of him seeking any kind of medical treatment before that? The other was why we never saw the police talking to him despite the fact that he was connected to a number of gruesome murders and was being talked about in the media?

Like I said though, I'm not sure I trust Hollywood to handle those without seeming too heavy handed, so maybe it is for the better.

Re: Candyman (2021, D: Nia DaCosta, EP: Jordan Peele)

Checked this out on Prime and overall it was Meh. Wife fell asleep on it twice and never finished it even after to really being excited to see it.

Liked/Loved:
-the connection to the 1st film
-the actors and acting
-the puppet narration scenes were great. I liked them more than the film itself
-the overall atmosphere
-LOVED LOVED LOVED the explanation that "Candyman" is not just one being but a title, and that even with the OG Tony Todd CM, there can be others. I got that on a deeper Cultural Level. I never saw the sequels to the OG film so I'm not sure if that was already a thing.
-loved that anyone could "get it" from Candyman. Ain't nobody safe...
-Also loved, after just learning about it, the end credits feature the stories of the various "Candymen" I turned it off when I first saw it but went to youtube to check it out. It's a sad visual history of the treatment of Black Men in AmeriKKKa as they are based on TRUE EVENTS

Didn't Care For:
-The ending. It just seemed like it could be really interesting but they had to cut what could come after for time?
-I know people claim they hate things explained to them these days...But I would love to know why that area creates "Candymen". I mean, I get it's from how they were killed, but still...is it demonic? Is it simply a spirit of Rage or Vengeance?
-the short run time.
-my man Mr Domingo's reveal. His story was fascinating but then his motive, though understandable, was kinda like "That's it?"
