Where’s the Avatar 2 thread? I searched but could’t find it.
Im not really invested in these, but I thought this was interesting.

Before you question the source, it's a podcast with Jeff Sneider, who is a legit Hollywood entertainment reporter.

The assembly cut for Part 3 is 9 hours and Cameron wants to post all of it?

Methinks Mister Cameron isn't putting up the money for this himself.

And Mickey had better wait and see how The Way of Water does this weekend before agreeing to anything.

Not sure how accurate their source is, but (per BBC News) these are potenital titles for the next three movies: Avatar: The Seed Bearer, Avatar: The Tulkun Rider and Avatar: The Quest for Eywa.
https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-46059129
Apparently each sequel will explore a different region of Pandora: grassland, desert and tundra. People have complained that the water region was not as visually interesting as the forests in the first film. I can't really see a snowy mountain or desert (even in 3D) being as big a draw for audiences looking for special effects eye candy. I need more of a connection to the characters to stay invested and keep coming back. I hope Cameron gets a bit more complex with the story arcs and dramatic tension if they end up releasing five more of these things (yes, he's now upped his desired sequel count to six).
I think I read that the Sully clan traveling to Earth in one of the sequels is on the table. It might be interesting if they visit Jake's human parents. I don't recall if the first movie referenced them or if they're supposed to still be alive. Maybe the dad is speciest and refuses to accept that his least favorite yet last remaining son is no longer human. Not to mention the grandkids are also giant blue cat hybrids. Maybe Jake's mom is a bit more open-minded and tries to mend the rift in the family. Cliché, but it's something. Cameron could even do stunt casting and bring in Linda Hamilton (long shot there) and Michael Biehn.

Fire Navi in the third one.
https://www.ign.com/articles/james-c...ture-fire-navi
The fire will be represented by the Ash People. I want to reveal the Na'vi from another angle because, at the moment, I have only shown their good sides. In the early films, there are very negative human examples and very positive Na'vi examples. In Avatar 3, we'll do the reverse. We will also explore new universes while continuing the story of the main characters.
I can say that the last parts will be the best. The others were an introduction, a way to set the table before serving the meal. But, obviously, everything will depend on how Avatar 2 will be received, if it will find its audience.

I think Kiri and Spider will get together. Kiri will be the "seed bearer" and she will give birth to some new form of life/hybrid. All speculation of course.
