I recently rented the original movie with Stephanie Sigman as the lead. She's actually one of the leads on SWAT on CBS now. It's a really dark movie, but I enjoyed it.

I did get an A-List ticket to see this remake on Friday. I like Gina Rodriguez from Jane the Virgin, so we'll see how this is. But yeah I'm also tired of seeing this trailer.

A few minutes ago I read A.O. Scott's negative review in The New York Times and it was the first time I've heard of this film.

I just got back from a matinee. I thought it was okay and very watchable, but I'm sure most who saw the original and happen to see this one will probably hate it. I did think Gina Rodriguez was good as the main character. They changed a few things and it wasn't as dark as the original. But for the most part was probably 75-80% shot for shot remake with some changes. The beauty pageant angle is also changed from the original. The original dealt more with the war on drugs. This one I think side stepped that angle somewhat. it's basically someone being at the wrong place at the wrong time and things implode from there one.

I'd probably give this a B- as I thought Rodriguez was really good. I liked the original, but I don't have as big an attachment to it as others.

This was not that bad and had some entertainment value though if you are expecting non-stop shoot outs with Gina and a gun you will be disappointed.

I love the original film. I put this on hold from library.
