What is the basis for comparison?

An alien action thriller with Arnold vs. a low budget Cannon Films martial arts movie.

Okay, I see great similarities.

I guess I'll vote for Bloodsport since that is my favorite martial arts movie. Jean Claude Van Damme is my favorite 80s actor haha

I live in a world where I don't have to chose between the two. They're both bad ass.

If I never see Bloodsport again, it will be too soon.

I've never seen Bloodsport so I'll go with Predator.

I give Predator the edge. But it would have been and even better movie if Chong Li was in Arnold's squad.

Re: Bloodsport (1988) or Predator (1987)

I think Predator is by far the better movie but for some reason I enjoy Bloodsport more. I have seen both dozens upon dozens of times. Funny how it turns out that Predator might be the more realistic of the two...haha.

OT for a moment...
For fans of Predator, the new 4K UHD release of the series is a significant AV upgrade and it can be had for a real bargain right now.
