Wow, TLJ is one of my most hated movies, but I LOVED this movie. Such well realized characters, truly great dialogue and a decent enough mystery. Art direction seemed very strong and I rarely notice that. Would actually like to see more movies like this. It was just refreshing and completely engaging

Saw it a second time—just as fun, and I had already forgotten one of the key parts of the ending so it was a surprise again!

Finally saw this and loved it. Wasn’t expected much, as I hated Johnson’s SW film, but this is my film of 2019 so far, although I only saw about 10 films tops.

Yeah weirdly this and Little Women wouldn't have been my guesses for breakout films this year, but I'm glad they are.
Good to see some sub-$50m budgeted non-horror movies making some money.
It's also likely there will be a sequel in the near future: https://deadline.com/2020/01/knives-out-box-office-daniel-craig-rian-johnson-1202820693/

Saw it this afternoon with my wife. Fantastic film across the board! I've enjoyed everything I've seen from Rian Johnson.

I was just going to do a simple post about how I liked the movie, but based on islandclaws hot take, I added translation notes of my thoughts for white people since I’m asian and live in that bastion of immigration, NY.
Saw it last night and loved it (seeing white people get their comeuppance) - thought the movie would mainly be dry humor and didn’t expect the amount of laugh out loud moments (at the expense of white people). Daniel Craig definitely chewed though it with his southern drawl (as a European, which is a better immigrant version of white people) and I hope the character comes back in other installments (to further mock white people). I always liked Ana de Armas (because she’s not white), so it was nice to see her get a lot of screen time in this (to get to stick it to the white people more). Recommended watch.
Or maybe the movie was more about class and privilege and contained a family of characters that most people aren’t really supposed to like or want to emulate?

You could say Parasite is the same for Asians seeing them get their comeuppance.
Loved it. I am wondering how this will play on a repeated viewing however.

I remember watching "The Fly" for the first time and being extremely impressed. I loved that episode, and was very shocked when I got on the internet to see that not everyone was as wowed as me.

Saw it Saturday and had a blast. Laughed a few times, especially at the flat delivery of "shit" after the failed attempt at the end. Seeing this as a commentary on anything other than class is funnier than anything in the movie. I would relish more Benoit Blanc.

What a great movie Loved how over-the-top yet commanding Daniel Craig was. Nothing like a good whodunnit murder mystery and this was top notch. 9 out of 10, my second favorite of 2019 and easily in my Top 20 of the decade.

Would love to see this get a surprise Best Picture nomination. Sure it won't win, but considering there are (up to) 10 slots, it would be a nice nod to a very good original film.

I would be shocked if it didn’t get a Best Picture nomination.

I watched this last night and loved it! It was a fun murder mystery all the way through.
Daniel Craig was fantastic as the great detective with a strange southern drawl. And Ana De Armas is just adorable.
RE: the spoiler discussed above about
There were some great throwaway lines heard in the background by the characters. My favorite was:
”Maybe Harlan left you a cold glass of milk in his will, Asshole!”

Watched this tonight in 4K via Redbox and it was great. Had I'd seen it in 2019 it would have been on my Top of the year. This makes a great double-header with Parasite.
