I just heard about this documentary in a "Best of Summer Movie Awards" podcast. The documentary is available to watch now on Hulu. The elevator pitch is "Skateboarding Hoop Dreams", because it follows a group of skateboarding kids over many years. But it's so much more than that. And it's very moving in parts. I really liked it and certainly wouldn't have known about it if I hadn't heard the podcast -- Hulu does such a terrible job of properly highlighting their stuff. Searching here, there doesn't seem to be any discussion of it (Sorry if I missed it somewhere) Anyway, I highly recommend watching it if you have the service.

to the LA Film Critics Awards who made Minding The Gap not only the Runner Up for Best Documentary ( Shirkers won), but awarded it Best Editing as well.

I suggest following it by watching "Dumb: The Story of Big Brother Magazine," which is also on Hulu.
