It's just not the kind of movie that does well in theaters. The whole thing is very sparse, I think maybe 10 characters, in all, have dialogue. The rest of the time it's empty streets and offices (to capture that feel of 2009 rural Arizona) and the plot is basic and exceptionally violent.
I dug it, but I can understand why it wouldn't get a major push.

I thought it was average.
McBrides character is too dark and unlikable to be considered funny.
I think the best scene was with him and Seth Rogan.
