I enjoyed it, thought it was a great fun time; anyone notice the city in a dome/bubble when Janet and Hank were leaving the quantum realm?

And not quite like that but somewhat related: Jennifer Connelley technically has two roles, since she was in the original Hulk (which, while not really MCU, was heavily referenced in the opening credits of the Incredible Hulk, which is MCU), did the voice of Spider-Man’s AI in Homecoming. And she’s married to Paul Bettany, who started as Jarvis.
The only similarity between the two films is that the first film leaves Bruce hiding in South America and the second picks up with him in Brazil.
That said, we haven't been excluding Marvel films from discussion here that aren't part of the MCU.

We saw this today in MX4D and it was pretty damn cool. A ton of movement and air during flight. There were some different scents and some surprise punches to the back and butt. The movies was just as good as the first one, in my opinion.

Maybe... but it might be well to view the 2nd sequence in relationship to the 1st... and how it ended. And also taking into account Thanos claim in IW that half of all people would vanish... randomly.
In that 2nd sequence we are presented with cuts to several different and familiar scenes before it ends at Scott's house with the ant drumming. What don't you see in any of the scenes?
People.
Including Scott's daughter, ex-wife and her new husband... if I correctly remember one of the scenes being his ex-wife's house. And maybe all his business associates, too. If my observations are correct, why did so many (if not all) people within Scott's sphere disappear? Particularly all three Pym family members. It doesn't fit with Thanos claim of randomness and only half of all people.
I suspect it will come out in A:IW 2 that it will have something to do with the quantum realm... which will be a flaw or weakness in Thanos, his plan, or the Infinity Gauntlet.
I think it might that the gauntlet has no effect on/at the quantum realm and that Thanos is aware of this, considers it a weakness that could be used against him, and got rid of everyone who had a connection to it. Hence the disappearance of all the Pyms, Scott's family, and his friends.
Since Scott was in the quantum realm this would explain why he didn't disappear also. He was beyond the gauntlets power... and Thanos may have no idea he is still alive.
And that container of stuff Scott was collecting in the quantum realm? Wouldn't be surprised if that comes into play also.

All the shots in the after credits scene were the interior of Scott's house.

Saw this yesterday. I really enjoyed it, equally if not better than the first one. A lot of these 2nd Marvel movies are good because you don't have to lose time with the "how they got their powers" origin story.
World's Best Grandma!
I might go and try to catch the 3D version too.
I took the mid-credits scene to be later. They needed time to build the van-tunnel. I also wonder how much they told the director/actors. Did they not tell them that the Pym family was going to disappear? And that Rudd was actually under the belief that they weren't answering the radio as a joke? Then they added the effects in post. I know they are pretty secretive.
The after-credit scene did have a EBS broadcast going off.
I don't know if anyone has ever seen these guys, but I like their easter egg videos. Some things make a lot of sense, while others are a stretch just to call it an easter egg. A lot of questions from previous posts answered/speculated here: (Some Infinity War spoilers, and some before mentioned on set pics of Avengers 4)
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/4QZfNDkuYeA" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>
From other things I've seen, the building was actually built in miniature, hence the "giant" AA battery/clothespins. The "pull handle" when "miniaturized" was actual size.

Re: Ant-Man and the Wasp (Reed, 2018) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread
It's been too long friends ... it's time for Abob Teff's Random Page 3 Thoughts!!!!
For the most part, I was able to turn off my brain and not nitpick this film to death. I enjoyed it! However, when Hope and Scott drive up in front of the building for the first time ... why do they remain full size and park out front? If they are in hiding, why not have an entrance that they can drive in while small and then grow inside?
Fishburne and Brolin are three-timers ... Fishburne was the voice of Silver Surfer in Fantastic Four 2.
The de-aging stuff looked great, except on Fishburne. His eyes looked like dead fish eyes and his mouth was rather odd looking. Maybe because his was on screen longer or for a close-up?
Does anybody else think they flipped the two end-credits sequences at some point in production? It would have made more sense to have the ant-drummer first (since the TV is showing the Emergency Broadcast Signal) to set up the gang vanishing while Scott is in the Quantum Realm.
Did anybody else get the joke about the baseball hats and sunglasses? I was the only person in my theater who laughed.
Enough already with the "time travel movies have no stakes" bullshit. I'm looking at you Deadpool 2 haters. It's about the journey, not the destination.
I wish we had a ... pardon the pun ... better fleshed out Ghost. Awesome character, good backstory, seemed only to serve to move the plot forward though.
Thanks AMC A-List. A glitch in the app caused me to miss the first 10 minutes of the movie of while the theater staff screwed around with trying to figure it out. I actually arrived early for a change too! (It still irks me that they run a consistent 20+ minutes of previews past showtime.)
Thanks AMC A-List! It was nice to see this in IMAX! (Looking at you MoviePass.)
Why did Janet and Hope keep the Van Dyne last name? (*More like Van Fine*)
Was really hoping to see Fishburne as Goliath ... maybe in Captain Marvel?
Costume design was amazing in this (Ghost, Wasp) as was the action choreography (Ghost/Wasp fights, car chases) ... but in some places the CG doesn't seem to hold up. Maybe it looked better in 3D?

I really enjoyed this one. The action, the humor, the cast, were all top notch. While I mentioned that the first was pretty forgettable in the other thread, this one had lots of cool moments that will stick with me. I also liked that it was just an all around great family film as others have laid out above. It was just fun and for the most part, self-contained. The mid-credit scene was kinda cool despite my eyerolling at that plot part in Infinity War.
The movie really only has two flaws for me. First is the development of Ghost and Bill. Ghost had a decent enough backstory but it still felt like something was missing. We're introduced to Bill as being an asshole and the audience is naturally supposed to be rooting for Hank, but in almost every scene Bill is trying to do the "right" thing which kinda ruins the asshole part and makes Hank look like the ass. It was kinda weird.
The other thing is the movie suffered from the marketing department. Nearly every cool moment or joke has been in the trailers. I felt like the whole damn movie was spoiled. So a HUGE
there. It didn't ruin the movie but it definitely took away from the experience. So it felt like we needed another action sequence or two just to see something fresh.
Lastly, I need more Wasp in the MCU and more Evangeline Lilly in movies.
She was excellent. Her and Rudd are great together. She also looks fantastic in that suit.

I think that was kind of the point. At first, all we were given was Hank's perspective. As we learned more about Bill, we realize that Hank's view was unfairly biased.

I agree about Hank looking like an ass but I think that's consistent with the character. He is constantly portrayed as a pompous ass and I think it was kinda cool that there wasn't some cheesy "bad guy" in the movie. It kind of was all a misunderstanding and a result of the sins of the past from shield.
I also really agree with the comment on the marketing department. I generally avoid media except for the teaser and official trailer because I want to go into a movie fresh. But I feel like the previews gave away EVERYTHING for this. I absolutely loved the action scenes with Wasp but I felt like the action was lacking just because they had given away every single action scene in the movie. I don't even know how they did it in a 3 min preview but everything in the movie was in the trailer. Ghost, the Wasp kitchen fight and street fight, enlarging and shrinking the cars, Ant-Man going giant. They even spoiled the end credit's scene? I'm not sure if they felt that they had to push harder to get people to watch the movie but I was disappointed. Especially since in contrast they went so far as to add the Hulk

Re: Ant-Man and the Wasp (Reed, 2018) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread
I love this movie, it was better than the first, for the most part. Even though the humor was pretty much non-stop, I didn't take me out of the moment (like GotG, at times). Paul Rudd is simply sublime and that one scene toward the end, in the lab, was just perfect. The action scenes were great too, the Wasp's fight in the kitchen was spectacular, although I think the first one is a bit more inventive.
The only negative I have is Goggins character, it feels unnecessary but it didn't bother me too much. This is one of my favorites in the MCU and I can't wait to watch it again.

Re: Ant-Man and the Wasp (Reed, 2018) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread
I liked that the Wasp had an expanded role and I thought Ghost was really cool, but I was disappointed that there wasn't more stuff in the Quantum Realm. I was hoping for Wasp and Ant-Man to go, wasn't really keen on Michael Douglas. I also felt the conflict with Ghost was a bit contrived, since it was a bunch of scientists and they all just bicker. It would've been nice to see that end sooner (through science! and rationalism) and spend the second half more in the Quantum Realm.
I agree with tanman, regarding the trailers giving too much away.

Does anybody find it odd that Marvel follows the success of Black Panther so closely with Ant-Man and the W.A.S.P.?

So will the Wasp be the most popular Halloween costume for little girls this year? Maybe some Ghost costumes too?

I thought this was really fun. Paul Rudd might be the most underrated casting choice in the MCU. He really works great as an everyman hero. Nothing too memorable but I had a lot of fun and thought adding The Wasp was a good addition. 4/5 or B+.

Finally saw this and thought it was great.
I was worried since EW gave it the same grade as The First Purge (C+) and i thought that movie was horrible.

Also happy to see Douglas actually had a logo on his hat. Maybe that was added after someone read my post.
