Another funny thing is the lab is constantly placed on empty pieces of land and made big - but it has no foundation, so it could easily be destroyed in an earthquake. Especially considering theyre in San Francisco. The house in Hawaii as well.
And I get that the roller handle was a gag, but Im wondering what the purpose for it would be in giant size.

From my review page, Orbi-Wan Goes To The Movies:
Ant-Man and the Wasp (PG-13) - Delightful sequel is exactly what Marvel fans need after the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War
MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD
Flashback to 2015 - Ant-Man comes out of practically nowhere and reveals a lighter side of Marvel/Disneys intentions in bringing their pantheon of comic book characters to the big screen. Yes, Guardians of the Galaxy showed that Marvel had a deep sense of humor, but Scott Langs first adventure as Ant-Man brought the cute and cuddly, and an off-the-wall family-oriented sensibility. Now, Ant-Man and the Wasp is here, and it brings back everything that that made the first adventure so much fun, times 2 at least.
Set in the weeks before the events of the sobering Avengers: Infinity Wars, ex-con Scott (Paul Rudd) is mere days from completing his house arrest for his part in violating the Sokovia Accords with Captain America and company, as explained in amusingly eye-rolling nauseating detail to Cassie (Abby Ryder Fortson) by a clueless FBI agent (Randall Park). Lang is perfectly happy to spend the rest of his time with his daughter, sharing faux-Ant-Man adventures in adorable cardboard caves, tunnels and slides.
However, Scott has a vision of the lost Janet Van Dyke (Michelle Pfeiffer), triggered by experiments by Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and daughter Hope Van Dyke (Evangeline Lilly), who are attempting to rescue Janet from the Quantum Realm. Soon, Lang and Pym are over-watching Hopes mission to purchase black market technology from smooth-talking Burch (Walter Goggins). His intentions to double-cross Pym are thwarted by Hopes Wasp, then interrupted further by the appearance of Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), the victim of a Quantum Realm experiment gone wrong.
Eventually joining the fracas are Langs loveable associates Luis (Michael Pena), Dave (T.I. Harris), and Kurt (David Dastmalchian), ex-cons who are attempting to grow their own private security firm. Also along the way, we meet Dr. Bill Foster (Laurence Fishburne), Hanks former partner and an ex-superhero in his own right, codename Goliath. All of this leads to lots of shrinking, unshrinking, growing, sight gags galore, and just loads of fun in general. For example, under the influence of truth serum, Luis gets to describe not only his friendship with Scott, but a brief synopsis of the first film, his perspective of Scott and Hopes relationship, and the sins of loading a dishwasher the wrong way. It is almost too hysterical for words.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is a wonderfully delightful good time for the family that keeps it clean and primarily PG-rated for pretty much the entire film (until a mid-credit sequence that can be slightly upsetting for the unprepared). I loved it, as did Mrs. Orbi-Wan, who is much more discriminating than I am. I am giving Ant-Man and the Wasp 4.5 out of 5 lightsabers. I am ready to see it again soon!
NOTES FOR PARENTS (Minor Spoilers): Ant-Man and the Wasp is barely rated PG-13 for some sci-fi action violence. In fact, it is extremely mild, and could have easily been rated PG with no changes. A ghost-like character can phase through people, and makes threats against our heroes. There are fights that involve our heroes shrinking and growing suddenly to punch and pummel bad guys. In a flashback, some people are killed in an explosion that results from an experiment gone wrong. There is some gun play, but no one is ever shot. A tense scene involving truth serum turns into a very funny excuse for Luis to describe a brief but over-exaggerated make-out session between Scott and Hope. Language is mild, primarily a handful of sh** and hell scattered through the film.
MID- AND AFTER-CREDIT SCENE: There is a mid-credit scene that informs us of Scott, Hope, Hank and Janets situations after Thanos snaps his fingers at the end of Infinity War. The after-credit is a very brief bit of silly business that weve already seen on a screen during the film.

As for the movie itself, I really enjoyed it, as I did the first one. Rudd is a great addition to the MCU.

I took the family to see this today, and we all liked it a lot. While we all unanimously agreed that Ant Man 1 was better, we all really liked Ant Man and the Wasp. It was fun.
I think the humor was more hit or miss than in the first one, and I thought the villain was more threatening/dangerous in the first one as well, but the action was fun and there were some great lines as well.
And it was great to see the teamwork with Scott and Hope - they work great together! I'm definitely in for a 3rd Ant Man movie.

Freaking fun as hell. Worked on all levels. Always liked Lily and Pena and they stole this movie. I think I did like 1 more, but this was light and fluffy with some heart. Good stuff. I almost blocked the end of Infnity War from my mind. Yeah, that was devastating. This was pure fun and great, inventive action. I really don’t know how they do it, but Marvel makes every movie they make distinct and stand on its own. Fantastic.

I thought this was pretty formulaic and fairly bland. The de aging C.G.I was bad and took me out of the moment. The movie wasn't completely without charm, I enjoyed the humor and some of the fight sequences, but I wouldn't have paid to see it.

Gee, with Hank explaining to Scott the dangers of a "time vortex" if he stays in there too long, I wonder if a time vortex is going to play into the next Avengers movie... duh, of course it is!

They still have a problem with chins - the proportions get screwy and the chin gets too short/small in some shots. They had the same problem with Chris Evans and little Steve Rogers in the first Cap movie.
Other than that it's great - but that's still distracting.

Eh, I disagree. It looked bad in X-Men 3 but the only reason I think it looks a little odd now is because we know what their faces look like now. If I didnt know that, Id totally believe it was real.

In Infinity War, they said Scott took a deal to not do the super hero thing anymore. The house arrest was probably over by that time.
BUUUUUUT, how did Scott and Co. not know about the events of IW? They must have seen the news about another attack in New York. And there had to have been several hours (or nearly a whole day) between that point and Thanos's finger snap.
I'm assuming Scott being trapped in the quantum realm will tie into IW2 in some way.

An attack in NYC is probably just another day at the point, plus they are on another coast. Scott and Co were doing their own thing.

I thought this movie was better than the first one. Just a lot of fun with some cool effects and trippy visuals at times. Finally seeing these in IMAX 3D paid off. It was the best 3D for a Marvel movie that I can remember in awhile.
Not to always throw a dig at the DC movies but it amazes me that Marvel can make great movies using third tier characters like Ant-Man and Black Panther and DC can't make a decent movie with their flagship characters (the Wonder Woman movie notwithstanding).

Next time, watch the chins carefully. The distance from the bottom lip to the bottom of the chin changes. Some shots are accurate, others - not so much. It changes (gets too short).
