THE MAN WHO KILLED HITLER AND THEN THE BIGFOOT
For more information: http://bit.ly/2lucIZa
Sam Elliott (TOMBSTONE, ROAD HOUSE) stars as a legendary World War II veteran who many years ago assassinated Adolf Hitler – an incredible secret that he’s frustratingly unable to share with the world. One day, just as he’s coming to terms with rounding out his life, Calvin gets a visit from the FBI and The Royal Canadian Mounted Police. They need him to take out Bigfoot. This wondrous feature debut from writer/director Robert D. Krzykowski features visual effects by celebrated two-time Academy Award Winner Douglas Trumbull (2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, BLADE RUNNER), who also co-produced alongside the great John Sayles (EIGHT MEN OUT) and Lucky McKee (THE WOMAN). A fantastical discourse on the melancholia of old age and a singular blast of entertaining wit, THE MAN WHO KILLED HITLER AND THEN THE BIGFOOT also stars Aidan Turner (THE HOBBIT trilogy), Caitlin FitzGerald (Showtime’s “Masters of Sex”), and Ron Livingston (OFFICE SPACE).

Holy mac and cheese! Saw the trailer with the wife last night, this just shot to the top of my must-see list above all the Marvel movies!

I am surprised by the serious tone of the trailer. I guess I figured this was going to be some sort of spoof.

Let's get some reviews in here!
If enough of you all like it, I might do a blind buy and I rarely do that anymore.
(BD currently 15 bucks at Amazon).

Way too serious and somber given the title. So many great and unique ideas with potentially wonderful moments, but it never really comes together. Instead I found it pretty dull.
Elliott is of course great, as always.

I attempted to watch this with a friend tonight but we got about 38 minutes in and he wanted to give up, so I agreed. Shockingly dull so far. I plan on finishing it in the morning but not the camp excitement the trailer sells; not so far.

I watched this tonight and really wanted to like it more than I did. The actors were great and it was wonderfully shot, but the story was slow and unfortunately mediocre. With a movie title like that, I felt like I should have been blown away, but came away with a shoulder shrug instead.

A swing and a miss.
I know this was to be a better movie than it turned out to be....there simply wasn't a pay-off.
I would like to know what happened (other than the real possibility the writer ran out ot talent).

The scene with Bigfoot was hilarious
I wanted to love it but I liked it and Elliot made it watchable with his committed performance.
I had no idea what was in that case at the end of the movie.

I've been meaning to watch the film. Douglas Trumbull (2001, Close Encounters, Blade Runner) did the goddamn visual effects for it, so it should be a watch at least for that. It's in my queue.

Leave poor Bigfoot alone. He isn't bothering anybody. He just wants to keep to himself like any decent pre-Homo Sapiens wildman would.
