Is it just me or does Henry Golding have a much more prominent role in the commercials now (after CRA?)

My wife just read this book last week (should I be worried that she's ready her share of crazy wife books?) and thought it was just ok, preferring Gone Girl better and didn't care for it enough that I don't know if we'll watch this in theaters.
As for Golding, she made it sound like the husband's role is pretty significant in the book.

Looks good. Very Gone Girl inspired, but that movie was really good. I could go for a little more.

'Crazy Rich Asians' Star Henry Golding Added to New 'Simple Favor' Poster
A star is born, and we're not talking about Lady Gaga.
After making his Fashion Week debut front row at Tom Ford, next to none other than Anna Wintour, Henry Golding is cementing his status as Hollywood's It Guy with brand-new posters for A Simple Favor days before Paul Feig's neo-noir comedy hits theaters Sept. 14.
The unprecedented move involved Lionsgate flying the Crazy Rich Asians star from Singapore to Los Angeles on Aug. 31 for a last-minute shoot at the Hancock Park home of Lionsgate chief brand officer Tim Palen, an award-winning fine art photographer who has a studio behind his house. Golding was off to London the following morning for Crazy Rich Asians' U.K. premiere.
In the newest A Simple Favor promotional art, Golding has been upgraded to first-name-only basis alongside Anna (Kendrick) and Blake (Lively) in a retro-cool poster that simultaneously evokes Hitchcock and Bond.
The newbie actor had no contractual billing on the movie, unsurprising given that when he was cast last summer, he had exactly zero acting credits on his résumé. But that changed with the Aug. 15 debut of Jon M. Chu's groundbreaking film, which hit No. 1 in its first three weeks, and with a domestic total of $135.8 million (and counting) is the most successful romantic comedy in nine years.
Lionsgate was closely monitoring Crazy Rich Asians, and says that the timing of its Golding-related marketing rollout couldn't have landed more perfectly. As the Warner Bros. movie continued to gather steam at the box office, the studios' shared leading man became a more and more visible presence on its social media channels and TV spots, with many fans online crediting Golding as their primary reason for wanting to see the film.

I listened to the audio version of the book back in April. It was good up until the last few chapters and one subplot involving the husband was pretty stupid.

The premise of Anna Kendrick being the less sexy sidekick to the bombshell Blake Lively doesn't really fly with me. I know she has a bit of a nerdy girl vibe to her, but I think Anna Kendrick is fine as hell and much more attractive than Blake Lively.

Amazing how people can look at the same actresses and see completely different things. I see only the nerdy vibe when I see Anna Kendrick, an odd-looking indie actress with comic talent who lucked out into starring roles in Hollywood movies. But I see an absolute knockout when I see Blake Lively--and not so much her facial features, but the way she carries herself and the way she wears clothes. I have yet to see a red carpet picture of Ms. Lively without thinking, "Stunning!" Even in the trailer for this film, I saw this contrast. I guess the casting director saw the same things I did.

I don't get the fascination with Anna Kendrick either. And if I had to choose one or the other based simply on looks, I would choose Blake, but she's not really my type either. I can acknowledge that both have qualities that people would find attractive, but I wouldn't classify either of them as "stunning"

Blake strikes me as having more of the classic movie star look. I love Kendrick and her girl next door type of vibe.

Both are attractive and in different ways. Kendrick is more my type, a lot of that has to do with personality.
I’m going to see this after work.

Kendrick is hot in a quirky way. Lively is very traditionally attractive so I don't mind looking at either one in a movie.

I thought this was pretty great overall. It is by far the best thing Blake Lively has done. She is just fantastic in this. Kendrick, of course, is great as well.
I'm not sure how I feel about the ending though. The movie has comedic tones throughout, but the ending felt over the top.

I loved this movie. Probably one of my favorites of 2018. It was fun, witty and had some cool twists. Lively and Kendrick were great and had great on screen comrodery. Lively was great as a sarcastic femme fatale.
I didn't mind the ending. I'd give this an A-

Good to hear the positive response. I didn’t know this was being made. But I’ll watch anything Feig.

I didn’t like it that much. I was interested in where it was going and liked the main characters, but felt like the movie never really knew what type of film it was trying to be. Multiple over the top/felt forced/way too convienient situations throughout the movie really took me out of the suspence on where this was headed. A big swing, but a miss for me.
